This came from the model from Amy Krouse Rosenthal. It was actually based off of her entry "Mind, Random Things That For No Reason Often Come Back to My" that we emulated in class.
[Defensible Space] This wireless fence is a bad example of defensible space. I am not sure if the house owners claim their property with their wireless fence because someone can obviously intrude and do what they like. Overall, there is a fence door, obviously chained up to prevent break-ins, but… it lacks… well… a fence. [Raquel Gonzalez]
I like to work on the edge between functional and decorative, through unique forms and lines. In my work, I enjoy the beauty of simplicity. I feel that some of my most successful pieces happen when I use only a few, simple complementary lines and forms to create a visually exciting piece that retains a simple, elegant feel.
I attended Graceland University and received a bachelor’s degree in studio art. After taking almost every art class offered, I had emphases in four areas of art — ceramics, sculpture, photography, and visual communications.
With a passion for education, I did not stop there. I trained my sights on education itself and focused on teaching endorsements for K–12 art education. Now, although I am no longer in a formal educational setting, I still enjoy learning about new techniques and materials. I am always looking for new things to try.
