UNESCO considers Conwy to be one of "the finest examples of late 13th century and early 14th century military architecture in Europe", and it is classed as a World Heritage site. The rectangular castle is built from local and imported stone and occupies a coastal ridge, originally overlooking an important crossing point over the River Conwy. Divided into an Inner and an Outer Ward, it is defended by eight large towers and two barbicans, with a postern gate leading down to the river, allowing the castle to be resupplied from the sea. It retains the earliest surviving stone machicolations in Britain and what historian Jeremy Ashbee has described as the "best preserved suite of medieval private royal chambers in England and Wales"

3 km from the center of O Carballiño is the Arenteiro Ethnographic Park. This constitutes an extension of the municipal park and has several examples of natural and architectural heritage. In this park we will find two restored mills: the Muiño das Lousas with its picturesque bridge and the Muiño do Anxo, as well as an old paper factory that is being restored to house a museum dedicated to the manufacture of this material at the end of the 19th century. Also located in this park is the municipal campsite that has several palloza-shaped bungalows, a fish farm and the Pena dos Namorados. The park has several wooden walkways that allow us to comfortably explore the most picturesque corners of the place located on the banks of the Arenteiro River.
The O Carballiño Municipal Park is a 32-hectare recreational area located between the residential zone and the Arenteiro River. In it we can find beautiful areas of trees, paths, bridges, as well as a more urbanized area made up of squares and pedestrian avenues. The park extends from the Great Spa to the Fish Farm. This park is next to the Arenteiro Ethnographic Park, located on the other bank of the river, where we can visit several restored mills, the Paper Museum and the Pena dos Namorados. In this park, the Festa do Pulpo is celebrated every year on the second Sunday in August, a pilgrimage par excellence of O Carballiño and one of the most popular and renowned gastronomic events in Galicia.
O Carballiño is a town situated in the far northwest of the province of Ourense, crossed by the course of the Arenteiro river.
An area inhabited since the Neolithic period, it was during the Middle Ages, when the Cistercian monks of Oseira settled here, that the region's economic development began.
A genuine symbol of the city, the Temple of Veracruz, the work of the architect Antonio Palacios, is a splendid example of contemporary architecture. A harmonious blend of the Byzantine, pre-Romanesque, Romanesque and Gothic styles can be appreciated in the building's design. Other points of interest are the hill-fort remains of San Cibrán de Las, the Galician country house of the Quiroga family and Santa Baia de Banga, a Romanesque gem which houses beautiful multi-coloured mural paintings (16th century).
HMS Example is the Northumbrian University Royal Naval Unit (URNU). The ship is based at HMS Calliope, a Royal Naval Reserve Base next to the Tyne Bridge on Gateshead Quayside.

Another example of a PR shoot. Odd as it seems, back then it was illegal for many types of shop to open on Sunday, especially DIY stores. Hence the idea. Notice on this type of shot you can't use any logos or branding because it's representing a consortium of DIY stores campaigning for Sunday Trading. Once again, forgive the scuffs and spots. It was scanned from a laminated print: my only remaining copy.

HMS Example, first ship of the Example block of the Archer Class patrol vessels, was ordered by the Royal Naval Auxilliary as fast crew tenders, to evacuate the British Merchant Fleet in case of war.
HMS Example is currently attatched to the NURNU, and based at HMS Calliope, immediately adjacent to the Sage.
