These critters are the result of a computer program that created a simple structure and allowed it to mutate. Selection preferred motion. The critters learned to move in an amazing variety of ways. Some of them look familiar; others are just plain weird. All of them are the result of selection pressure on random variation. This kind of mathematical evolution can be used to solve design problems.

These pictures make me miss Bio 30. That was one of of final classes. And Lema gave us popsicles and creamsicles.

This design is for the Threadless Loves competition. The competition theme design is to create an awesome design celebrating photography.
The idea came to me almost instantly. I went through several design ideas but finally settled for this one.
The motif behind this is the celebration of film and its evolution into the digital realm with the pixel dots near the end of the film strip. On the film strip are images of different types of cameras over the years of its existence. I have also added a snow flake it for decorative reasons and the girl to enhance the energy of the image.
I hope you like it. Also, go and vote for me at Threadless because the better rating I get, the higher the chances of it getting printed and this shirt can actually be yours.
Took this in my Historical Geology course. Glyptodont scale (left) next to a section of armadillo scales (right). The latter is made up of over a hundred of the former.
Even though the photo sucks, the Glyptodont scale is nearly identicle to the small scales that make up the Armadillo's armor. This is proof of evolution.
