Rabi~en~Rose from Digi Charat --------------
Rabi~en~Rose is revealed to the viewer to be Dejiko's rival. Her name may be a play on a number of things. "Rabi~en~Rose" may be a play on the common French saying "La Vie en Rose" which means "life in rose-pink". The Japanese expression "spend a life in rose-pink" means to spend a life without any worries. "Rabi" which resembles the English word "rabbit." replaced "La vie" to form a pun to mean "Rabbit in life without worries," which suggests her personality. Her original name is Hikaru Usada, which resembles Hikaru Utada (best known in the West for her theme songs for the Kingdom Hearts series) but that was officially commented as a mere coincidence since the story and names were decided before Hikaru Utada's debut in Japan. Her "Usada" surname also is a pun, as the "Usa" part is a shortening of the word "usagi", which means "rabbit" in Japanese.
In the original anime, she is seen as a normal girl who uses dice to transform into her bunnygirl outfit: a pink, white and red dress with large white rabbit ears and a large round cotton tail. Her parents left her to live on her own in an attempt to help her become an idol. Rabi~en~Rose does not end her sentences with a rabbit sound (typically pyo in anime) and is the only character with kemonomimi animal traits in the Di Gi Charat franchise not to do so.
Di Gi Charat (デ・ジ･キャラット, De Ji Kyaratto?) is a Japanese anime and manga series created by Koge-Donbo. The series follows a catgirl named Di Gi Charat (Dejiko for short) who was adopted as the mascot of Broccoli's retail chain store, Gamers. The original anime series and its original video animations (OVAs) are set in a Gamers store. There are twenty Gamers stores across Japan. Gamers opened a store in the United States in 2001, Anime Gamers, that is located in Los Angeles.

Putting this in due to my love of double-exposure images and wanting to try my hand at one of them again. Also I felt like this project needed another pretty/ not quite so heavily conceptual image, although there is meaning behind this one.
For me, I kind of feel like this is a representation of what college is supposed to do to you...you're supposed to expand your mind/ grow as a human being/ broaden your horizons or whatever. Sometimes I feel like all I've grown up there are weeds, but like, pretty weeds, you know? The kind with flowers that look really nice but are completely useless/ invasive/ not what you really intended to grow but there they are so might as well let them stay.
Cactuses were not the way they were. This is a short tale about evolution.
Under the glaring sun, mr cactus bears the intensity of a large matter known as sun. His fierce determination to survive compelled him to think fervently how to preserve his own water content despite sweating. He puts on his thinking cap.
"where do i start sweating?"
He glances across his home, the desert horizons. Then he saw a mirage. He thought he was near the brink of death. He rubbed his eyes, but his suspicions were proved wrong. There was indeed a small body of water shimmering under the relentless sun. Out of nowhere, there were two sticks that formed two pathways for the water to flow.
One stick had a large hole and practically hollow, the other had a hole so small just enough for a teeny weeny needle to pass through.The water touched both sticks, immediately, it flowed into two sections, carving 2 separate pathways through the stick holes. In the end, water was waiting for its remaining "soul" to return from the stick with a smaller hole.
Mr Cactus was stuck with an idea. Immediately, he knew that the stomata on big broad leaves was the factor which was sapping all his water off.
He concentrated with all his might. "Push, smaller, tinier, focus."
Tada, his leaves became spines, this way he transpired slower. He did it with a little help of nature. :)

Power to every citizen
To me “digital revolution” can be defined as the massive shift in power that has taken place from hierarchies to citizens and networks of citizens as a result of powerful digital technologies.
What this means in practical terms is that everyday citizens have power today that they did not have as recently as five years ago. Anybody with a smart phone now has the kind of global reach that was once reserved for governments and large media companies. This shifting power has disrupted commerce, communication and governance.
I see this “digital revolution” as being overwhelmingly positive. Some of the disruption it has caused (and will cause in the future) is negative, but this has been far outweighed by the ability of people to connect and engage with the world and with the marketplace in ways that were previously unimaginable. I think about my own experience as a school teacher in an impoverished community. When I was a teacher, the only educational resource my students had beyond my own knowledge were a set of tattered, 30-year old textbooks. Today, that same classroom is equipped with an internet connection that can deliver world-class educational resources directly to the students that most need them. While there is no replacement for a good teacher, our students should not have to suffer with out-of-date and substandard educational resources. With the digital revolution, that no longer needs to be the case.
