...the name of the scarf pattern, that is...
A beyond-wonderful gift by Karen (kfpsardou) - the softest, lightest wool knit into a dizzying pattern to make an extra-length scarf that keeps me warm even with the cutting winds we are currently experiencing.
better be on your list as a photog. The way we shoot, what we shoot and the way we edit should change over the years...we should always look for a way to improve. This includes looking at old photos with "new" eyes. This is a re-edit of a photo taken last year and I wanted to post it so that one year from now it can be re-edited again and I can track my progress:) In retrospect, f/18 was a poor choice as f/8 or f/11 would have worked> The lens used worked fine but more expensive glass yields better star bursts etc. This new version is a different crop of the same photo. (yes I know the photo could use some vertical adjust but that is for next year) EDIT may 07,2012: The real and final version was posted here 500px.com/theartofphotos/stories/36652/growth-and-evolution.

Had a bit of weather event here on the coast this weekend, I couldn't get out earlier but had the afternoon to go for a wander. I didn't fancy getting up close and wet with a howling Sou Westerly wind blowing and headed up to the northern headland with the 50-500mm lens and 'cherry pick' some views. Unfortunately the wind was even worse (but dry) up there so using the big guy was definitely challenging.
This classic machine who was very common back then is rare now! This nice rollover can be found in Marseille, about 120 Km from home. I'm very pleased to have the chance to film his one! The Wesumat Evolution is my first car wash memory, I was in infant car seat !
I have no idea when this car wash was installed, maybe in late 90's, early 2000?

Darkseid wanted to be bigger and bulkier, but it just didn't work.
Justifier got made more accurately to Kirby's design than the generic dude I had, and Parademon got a nifty overhaul

Its amazing how advanced Digital SLR's have become in a relatively short period of time.
Even though I bought a used D7000 I'll never sell my D70. I still enjoy using it.
(Evolution of my latest painting..)
I did this in one night! Of course I might work a bit more on it in the near future. Here is the progress so far. :)

first tests with the new slic3r 0.8.4 support structrues. 0,15mm layers ABS, support: overhang threshold 75°, 1mm apart. T-Rex model: 75% scale
After removing the support, i tried to smooth the surface with acetone... just "painting" it on causes decoloration. because of that i painted it with spraypaint. actually i kinda made all worse XD
