A series of blue hour lake shots I knocked off during a recent holiday in Melton Mowbray (so many pies, so little time left for photography :)....).

The long lasting midnight sun in June is a nice time to walk around with some nice lens and enjoy your surroundings...

After driving through rain all the way from Adelaide, as we approached Fishermans Bay there was an eerie calm and light. Within the hour, the wind was up, the temperature dropped and the evening light show began. Now looks like a wild and woolly night ahead of us.

At 310.3° (almost NW) this is the northern limit for a sunset in this part of Dorset.

Pattern source: Knitting Vintage Socks / Nancy Bush

Yarn: Rowan 4 Ply Soft, 3 x 50 g, in shade Victoria

Needles: 2,5 mm

 

Modifications: I made the leg longer by adding 7 (!) pattern repeats (my legs are not that long!), shortened the heel flap (34 rows instead of 40 in the pattern), and in the toe I added some rows between the decrease rows.
