The European robin, known simply as the robin or robin redbreast in Ireland and Britain, is a small insectivorous passerine bird that belongs to the chat subfamily of the Old World flycatcher family.

A European Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) brings food to its young in a nest cavity of an old tree tree on the edge of the Great Sandhills south of Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada.

European Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis), Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. A small group of these birds, including at least one juvenile, perched on this tree for just a short moment before moving on. This image was taken from quite far away, but I still liked the setting.
