Beautiful morning light at Rajasthan's Lake Gadisar. Whenever I shoot an image I try to remember the mood and atmosphere that the location and the moment gave me at the time I pressed the shutter button on my camera. It is that same feeling that I tap into when I sit down later to edit the image on my computer. Whenever I look at this image I remember the intense warm sidelight hitting my face and the sides of these dome shaped pavilions on the lake. I can still hear the peaceful chirping of the birds at sunrise, and the flocks of pigeons flitting about from one pavilion to another. There was a group of people practicing yoga on the shore of the lake to the left. It was one of those peaceful mornings that you wish would last forever.
John 12:23-26 “Jesus replied, ‘The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.’”
I discovered a lovely beech forest a few miles down the road the other day that I had no idea was there. We've had two fabulous misty mornings already this week which were perfect for it.
... "Eeuwige Moes" in Flemish.
Eternal cabbage, also called 'everlasting cabbage' is a fissile vegetable or cutting cabbage. It is a type of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var ramosa) which has been grown in Flanders (Belgium) for many years. The name “Eeuwige moes” refers to its way of propagation, where the leaves of the plant keep growing when cut off, and thus grow perpetually.

Paixão é uma coisa tão boa, mas tão boa... Que às vezes pode nos deixar sem palavras. Como explicar que a gente pensa o tempo todo na pessoa, que não queira sair de perto, e que a vida ficaria sem graça sem a presença dele!

Always remember true LOVE never fades away even if it is not reciprocated .. It remains in the heart to purify and soften the SOUL.....

I wanted to remake, or reimagine, my other image, 'Dreamers' now that I feel more comfortable with the camera.
After making two visits out to this slot canyon scouting, exploring, and shooting, Alan and I made a third excursion to capture this last scene. I always enjoy seeing swirling sandstone in slot canyon walls but I never seemed to find any bowl-like swirls in antelope canyon. Far above the canyon floor, we spotted this composition during our first visit. Unfortunately it was completely unshootable that day. Surely enough we didn’t heed the weather warnings and soon a drizzle became a steady rain with water gushing down the canyon walls. We managed to make it out wet but unscathed for another attempt.
Our third visit finally presented us with the correct timing to capture the glow pouring in from above. The coolest part was seeing the gradient of colors starting from yellow down to deep blues and purples at the bottom ledges due to Raleigh scattering.

What a surprise
the only surprise
within momentary gaze
in hidden glades ablaze
came the truth
of nature's eternal youth
we have so long sought
such treasures autumn brought
and here we are
so near and yet so far...
...stagnation of the senses
bemoans the enemy's pretences
left for warmer stretches of imagination
in death-defying animation
where are we when we seek
the derivitive of this life so weak
within the desiccation of outlook
and unable to go by the book
we become onlookers to Autumn's farce
able to find and break a smile so sparse
beside convivial Beeches a new hope was born
glowing as it always has, for all eternity to adorn.

Three bothers playing soccer in the streets of Antananarivo, Madagascar, with a self made ball, next to their little house right in the street and the small shop from their parents. An image of the city: colourful, people who are inventive and who make the best of what the surroundings offer.
Peacock, with the most beautiful feathers, takes an upward flight, exuding such happiness in the clean, clear, and fresh air under world lockdown. The colorful sky in full glory complimenting the flying bird.
