The Ernest Hemingway Cottage, also known as Windemere, was the boyhood summer home of author Ernest Hemingway, on Walloon Lake in Michigan. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1968.

Basically the only "real" restaurant on Moloka'i was located at our hotel. Sitting here reminded me of Ernest Hemingway sitting at a local cafe, typewriter on the table in front of him, recording everything that went on around him. We saw several "regulars" at the bar, but the guests changed daily. By the end of the week, we felt like regulars!
