When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly.

This post is a rivisited interpretation - and a postprocessing exercise - from a photograph I already put on Flickr some time ago: www.flickr.com/photos/robfon/2066300296

I want to say thank you to my friend and great photographer Cyrus Khamak that encouraged and supported me to work on this new version, kindly giving me precious tips and directions with his great talent and experience.

Just few words about the treatment to this photo: it is even more cropped compared to the first post, levels and curves have been touched a little bit and the background has been removed.

I suggest you, if you still don't know Cyrus, to have a look to his great photostream:

The tiny fly - sorry but I don't know the species - is something like 1.5 mm small. It was walking slowly at the bottom of the water drop! It took some amount of patience to wait for both the fly in the right position, and no breeze at all at the same time. No flash for this shot, I used tripod and natural light to preserve as much as possible the amazing water drop reflections.
