Part of Daryll's Hobby is sending out QSL (radio postcards) to his contacts. He uses a lot of envelopes and stamps.

Here are two envelopes (front and back) that were mailed back to me. Notice the one on the right looks like it got run over by the mail truck. Notice that NEITHER of the stamps got canceled!

This envelope has a 1930 postmark and was found with the other inserts.

A letter from a few years ago.

This is what I made for the Ernie the Envelope swap!

I made these envelopes out of the Anthropologie magazine and though they don't match my Japanese travel theme for the swap, I'm sending these along as well :)

Card created for the HA Envelope Challenge. This is the front of the envelope card. Please take a look at my other images to see the entire card...sorry for all of these, but it was really hard to show all of the details in one photo! You can find all of the images at www.flickr.com/photos/scrapperjjb/sets/72157605294895241/.

Envelope with a red haired girl and flowers for spring that I made from a Catalina Estrada calendar page. Sent to a Postcrosser in Belgium.

Still a WIP, but the low volume border has been added, just backing to make, basting, quilting and binding to do. This isn't going to be a large quilt - it will end up about 48" square, but will be perfect to keep folded over my chair in my sewing room..

PS: Kids playing with camera again - hence the reason the date says 2006.

This is an envelope i designed inllustrator.

It is one of my first attempts at using illustrator to create a corporate profile package.

This designhas not yet been completed, but will be tweaked as a final for my final project due at the end of April 2005.

i'm sure most of hitched, especially the BTers know the significance of this envelope, but for the people who don't, this is advising us of our NHS IVF cycle, which is going to be in april.

it's not quite as soon as we hoped, but it's the free go and we were told 18 months originally so can't complain. the main thing is we have a date!

I made these five envelopes out of some of my marbled paper that didn't come out quite perfectly, but was still too gorgeous to throw away.

I marbled them all by hand myself, then used a template to cut out the envelopes. The ribbon adds a nice touch and makes these envelopes great for gift card or special letter enclosures.

The great man gets his own illustrated, prepaid 4 kopek envelope. This one circulated in Siberia from Krasnoyarsk to Sverdlovsk. I guess the DIY postcodes would have been recognised by some reading device. The GDR bought sideways-on USSR postal stamping machines like this for use in a few towns.

Doodle I did on the front of an old envelope.

Made with a series of bright envelopes. I think this will be good for a holiday with postcards slipped inside the envelopes.

The big C is a stencil. The little dots are again, glitter pen.

mini envelopes made of old chinese book. In my etsy shop now! (please see my profile)

This envelope is basically just a bit of doodling and drawing. It will be send with a lovely letter to my dear penfriend Gemma to Spain :)

I found a small group of envelope inserts that someone saved. They were found with one 1930 postmarked envelope that still had the insert.

I really like the colors and patterns.

I made this for my friend, Susan, for Christmas. I used a Keyka Lou Pattern and of course, '30s and '40s Vintage Reproduction Fabric.

envelope for me.

another close examination of my package from china. i love the details on it and all of the stamp edges everywhere. plus it reminds me of all the lovely collages i would love to do involving postage....because it's simply the rad.

livvy made the point to me that the only other language on the customs stamp is french.....i tried to defend that....but lost in the battle of reasoning....it is kind of odd.

The letters lean every which way, but it's still fun mail art from an amateur.
