Hotel room door fun.

A tree branch that seems to be a pareidolia entity, with the reflections on the river in soft focus in the background.

Thursday I took a bike ride along Lake Michigan and ended up at Sheboygan's North Point. Looking out into the lake from the viewing center I saw a large colony of gulls on a partially submerged ledge. This gull was perched on a rock quite a distance from the others. He appeared to be saying, "Don't bother me."

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, NYC. The Going Dark show is subtitled, "The Contemporary Figure at the Edge of Visibility"

"The term "going dark" is a colloquialism for the removal of a person or entity from public access.. recognition in society, or the lack thereof....Going Dark: The Contemporary Figure at the Edge of Visibility presents works of art that feature partially obscured or hidden figures, thus positioning them at the “edge of visibility.” In this art context, the common phrase going dark is understood as a tactic whereby artists visually conceal the body to explore a key tension in contemporary society: the desire to be seen and the desire to be hidden from sight."

This is a close-up photo of wood grain in a walkway board at Clam Harbour Beach that suggests some sort of pareidolia entity.

Mysterious living entities let us sometimes, when they create a bridge, see the other side as clear as we see where we stand.

The Sinking City

The Elementhals by Daniel Arrhakis (2021)

With the music : Audiomachine - Eterna

youtu.be/vCETCCuvGbg

In order to avoid the destruction of many more worlds in the gravitational chaos that came from the planetary event, a superior race of powerful mystical beings "The Elementhals" managed to deflect two of the "Blue Worlds", planets that have the potential to generate life and have antagonistic mystical natures, thus the Twin Worlds of Althahyan were protected.

Many mystic old masters and scholars have been discussing the existence of The Elementhals throughout the ages, but in older Krudhyn books of the Ancients several references are made about the existence of higher mystical entities with powers over the four elementary physical states of matter: water, rocks, air and fire.

For millions of years they evolved spiritually into an ethereal state that is practically invisible in certain radiation ranges but with powers over the water, rocks and atmosphere of the planets.

Its main destination, the protection of life and the tenuous spiritual balance in the Universe. However, they obey the laws of the Fifth Element, the creative spiritual force that gives life to matter or Ahylyhan (one of many of its names) vowing never to interfere directly with the free will of the governing peoples.

However, some of them on the threshold of their oath influence indirectly or inspire through thoughts, dreams or premonitory visions some of the beings who have their most developed spiritual power or who feel that connection.

According to some of Krudhyn's old mystical books , were they who taught the mystical arts to the first masters who founded Krudhyn's mystical orders - Legends! Some will say, but I know personally that they are not legends ...

Lacking entities keep them dissolved and stagnant, hoping to take advantage of such waste of human beings...

Apparent "peace" is a trap for "these" inorganic energies, the poor ones eager for eternity.

Excerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gion_Matsuri:

The Gion Festival (祇園祭, Gion Matsuri) is one of the largest and most famous festivals in Japan, taking place annually during the month of July in Kyoto. Many events take place in central Kyoto and at the Yasaka Shrine, the festival's patron shrine, located in Kyoto's famous Gion district, which gives the festival its name. It is formally a Shinto festival, and its original purposes were purification and pacification of disease-causing entities. There are many ceremonies held during the festival, but it is best known for its two Yamaboko Junkō (山鉾巡行) processions of floats, which take place on July 17 and 24.

The three nights leading up to each day of a procession are sequentially called yoiyoiyoiyama (宵々々山), yoiyoiyama (宵々山), and yoiyama (宵山). During these yoiyama evenings, Kyoto's downtown area is reserved for pedestrian traffic, and some traditional private houses near the floats open their entryways to the public, exhibiting family heirlooms in a custom known as the Folding Screen Festival (屏風祭り, Byōbu Matsuri). Additionally, the streets are lined with night stalls selling food such as yakitori (barbecued chicken on skewers), taiyaki, takoyaki (fried octopus balls), okonomiyaki, traditional Japanese sweets, and many other culinary delights.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea gulls crying.

Almost identical to an earlier upload, this one was taken slightly earlier & has more 'warmth' from the rising sun.

There is also more shadow, bottom left, adding some extra drama.

I've found Ben Arthur a rather difficult hill to give context to: Its grandeur as a single entity is maximised either from here or from somewhere around the Narnain boulders, near the Allt a' Bhalachain; but from these aspects it is impossible to convey it's position relative to it's neighbours: Any higher than this, or from any other angle, & it's impact diminishes somewhat.

I may be missing something, & would only be too grateful if there's anybody out there who CAN see the wood, DESPITE the trees, & suggest another viewpoint!

UPDATE: Heartfelt thanks to all that commented, faved or just had a look. I'm genuinely overwhelmed by the interest.

muni train - lakeshore, san francisco, california

The Pigeon River, an enigmatic artery cutting through the rugged terrain near Grand Portage, beckons with an eerie tranquility on this partly cloudy day. Its waters, a chaotic blend of serenity and untamed power, reflect the dichotomy of this borderland. The scene, an intoxicating cocktail of nature's whimsy and man's insignificance, drags you into a frenzied dance between awe and fear.

Here, the river's relentless flow carves a path through the landscape, a metaphor for life's unyielding march. The clouds above play a psychedelic game, casting shadows that morph the river's surface from moment to moment. It's a theatre where light and shadow perform a perpetual ballet, illuminating the soul of this place.

In this snapshot, the Pigeon River isn't just water; it's a living, breathing entity that defies definition, much like the American spirit that courses through its veins.

Surprisingly frosty morning with some amazing frost crystals . Converted this shot to b/w and then messed around with toning effects.

Excerpt from en-tea-house.teamlab.art/azabudai/:

Flowers Bloom in an Infinite Universe inside a Teacup

When a cup of tea is made, flowers bloom inside the teacup. When the teacup is lifted, the flower petals scatter and spread outside of the cup. Flowers bloom infinitely as long as there is tea. The tea in the teacup becomes an infinite world in which the flowers continue to bloom. Drink in the infinitely expanding world.

Tea is a transformative entity, and the size of the flowers that bloom will change depending on the amount of tea. The artwork is born only when there is tea. Once the tea is drunk, the work no longer exists.

The flowers blooming in the teacup change with the passage of real time.

The artwork is forever changing and the picture at this moment can never be seen again.
