St. Clair's Falls is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. It is called the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka" and is one of the most politically discussed environmental entities in Sri Lanka.
It is situated 3 km west of the town of Talawakele on the Hatton-Talawakele Highway in Nuwara Eliya District. The falls derived its name from a nearby tea estate. The Falls is 80m high and hence 20th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. St. Clair's falls comprises two falls called "Maha Ella" (Sinhalese "The Greater Fall") and "Kuda Ella," (Sinhalese "The Lesser Fall") which is 50m high and was created by a tributary of Kotmale Oya.

[CyberPunk Fair]
Mi lucha acababa de empezar. Había sido entrenada durante años para este momento, mi cuerpo se había golpeado tantas veces contra el suelo que ya no sentía el dolor de las caídas. Eran días de frío, los humanos luchábamos unos contra otros ayudados por las máquinas. Máquinas que habíamos creado nosotros mismos y que muchas eran más inteligentes que nosotros. En los momentos de silencio se adueñaban de mi visiones ensangrentadas, recordaba todas las batallas vividas, todas las caídas, todas las muertes. Bristlecone pines (Pinus aristata), the most durable living entities on this planet, are known to have achieved lifespans of several thousand years. A native of the American Rocky Mountains, these conifers are found at elevations which exceed 8,000 feet and are often found right at the timberline,11,500 feet. Colorado contains the most easterly found environments for bristlecone pines in the United States.
This is taken on Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway, the highest paved road in North America, a grove of remarkable trees whose gnarled trunks and knotty branches have stood here since the Roman Empire ended some 1,500 years ago. These trees are known for their ability to survive in very harsh conditions for a very long time; the oldest known specimen, which is located near Craig, is believed to be at least 2,461 years old.

This was one of the final shots I took from my walkabout a few days ago, suddenly when you remove the all leaves, take away the Summer, trees take on a strange sinister new form. It got me thinking, maybe this is what a Demon truly is, a carnal entity, stripped down to the basic need to survive, albeit from a more intelligent yet energetically manifested perspective.
It was difficult to get the angle on this, as it grows directly in front of a row of houses and I didn't want the rooftops in the image, this way against the sky it looked all the more a looming dark presence.

Había viajado al futuro, el camino había sido bastante fácil. Un simple toque y aparecí en otra época. Me estaba empezando a gustar esto de cambiar de época. Al principio estás confusa, no sabes donde estás, no entiendes que llevas puesto, ni entiendes lo que ocurre, pero en pocos segundos te sitúas. Te das cuenta que ya no estás en la misma realidad y has viajado a otra diferente. Empiezas a observar esas diferencias, analizas la situación y asumes que en ese futuro tienes una vida. Una vida diferente, más salvaje, más frenética, más cruel. Siempre me faltaba algún miembro del cuerpo, nunca lograba estar completa, quizás es que el futuro te amputa parte de tu vida porque para llegar hasta él has tenido que dejar muchas cosas atrás. Josa de Cadí, Alt Urgell, Lleida, España.
Josa de Cadí es un pueblo situado en la cara sur de la Sierra del Cadí. Está constituido como entidad municipal descentralizada del municipio de Josa y Tuixén, dentro de la comarca del Alt Urgell desde (1973).
El pueblo de Josa de Cadí (1.431 m) está situado sobre una pequeña colina redondeada a la derecha del río de Josa, entre éste y el torrente de Jovell, que desagua. Controla la pista de Gósol y Tuixén, en un lugar especialmente estratégico, entre las laderas de la sierra de Cadí y las de Cadinell. En la cima de la colina se eleva un peñasco rocoso, llamado el castillo, con restos de antiguas construcciones. Está la iglesia parroquial de Santa Maria y Sant Bernabé, que fue construida o reedificada, según Madoz, en 1846. Es un edificio rectangular, con ábside carrado, de una nave y otras dos naves menores que conforman como una serie de pequeñas capillas laterales. Al suroeste, junto al ábside, en su punto más elevado del peñón, se eleva el campanario, de torre. Alrededor está la casería. Sobre el pueblo, en las laderas inferiores de Cadinell se encuentra la antigua iglesia parroquial, hoy capilla, del foso de Santa María, románica, de una nave con un ábside liso, sin arcuaciones. Celebra su fiesta mayor el primer domingo de septiembre.
Josa de Cadí is a town located on the south face of the Sierra del Cadí. It is constituted as a decentralized municipal entity of the municipality of Josa and Tuixén, within the region of Alt Urgell since (1973).
The town of Josa de Cadí (1,431 m) is located on a small rounded hill to the right of the Josa river, between it and the Jovell torrent, which drains it. It controls the Gósol and Tuixén track, in a particularly strategic location, between the slopes of the Sierra de Cadí and those of Cadinell. At the top of the hill rises a rocky crag, called the castle, with remains of ancient buildings. There is the parish church of Santa Maria and Sant Bernabé, which was built or rebuilt, according to Madoz, in 1846. It is a rectangular building, with a carved apse, a nave and two other smaller naves that make up a series of small lateral chapels. To the southwest, next to the apse, at its highest point on the rock, rises the bell tower, with a tower. Around is the farmhouse. Above the town, on the lower slopes of Cadinell, is the old parish church, today a chapel, of the Santa María moat, Romanesque, with a nave with a smooth apse, without arches. It celebrates its main festival on the first Sunday of September.

"Harpa was designed by architect Henning Larsen from Copenhagen together with Batteríið arkitektar in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland.
Artist Ólafur Elíasson designed the glass facade together with the architects.
(...) In 2013 the building won the European Union’s award for contemporary architecture, the so-called Mies van der Rohe award, for its outstanding architecture with the glass facade which seeks inspiration from Icelandic nature. The facade is made up from many smaller glass and steel elements and similar mirror elements are found in the ceiling. The artist’s idea was to move the basalt blocks which are found in several places in Icelandic nature closer to the citizens. The glass facade is inspired by naturally occurring pillow basalt.
The artist then plays with the light which comes on during Iceland’s dark winter months and is projected onto the building’s facade. It creates a magical light show reminiscent of the northern lights or the beautiful light and colours reflected in the sky at different times of year when the weather changes. (...)

“Emerging on the border between the land and the sea, the crystalline structure captures and reflects the light, promoting a dialogue between the building, the city, and the surrounding landscape.
