On Dedication Day 12-17-09, they let us crawl up into the cab of Engine 940. It was full of knobs and valves with a seat on each side of the cab. Pretty cool!!

The illuminated The Institution of Engineers (India) Building as part of Onam Week Celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram.
Onam Week Celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram, organised by Department of Tourism - Government of Kerala. During the one-week festival time, the arterial road in the capital city are illuminated in different colors and the buildings along the Vellayambalam-East Fort stretch are lit up. A variety of traditional and cultural programs, held in different venues in the city. Onam Procession (Onam Pageantry) is the last day attraction of Onam Week Celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram city.

Fort Yellowstone was established Between 1891 and 1897. The Corps of Engineers was called upon shortly thereafter to improve and standardize the roads that were scratched between "major attractions" by superintendent Norris. This building was erected in 1903. It served as the Corps of Engineers office for the duration of Fort Yellowstone. It's foundations extends to the water table.
Because of it's roof, it's portico, and nearly square shape, the building was early-on christened "The Pagoda. It's still called that today by both those that know the story and those that don't.

The Measurement of a Lepton-Lepton Electroweak Reaction (MOLLER) experiment proposes to measure the parity-violating asymmetry in electron-electron (Møller) scattering. The measurement will be carried out at Jefferson Laboratory's state-of-the-art accelerator by rapidly flipping the longitudinal polarization of electrons that have been accelerated to 11 GeV and observing the resulting fractional difference in the probability of these electrons scattering off atomic electrons in a liquid hydrogen target.
