A small contingent of Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to Fredericksburg-based 229th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team recondition a range road, Aug 4, 2017, at Fort A.P. Hill as part of an environmental project to preserve local wetlands and combat erosion. The engineers used a variety of heavy machines to relocate more than 500 tons of gravel, removed and reused more than 250 tons of dirt, during their two-week annual training.
