Hello to the flickr users. Here some images of my latest (digital) MOC, a fictive transport train from the galactic republic. It´s a sort of gunship on rails, other call it the Maersk from Star Wars. :-)
The train can be easily motorized with the usual Powered Up components. Credits go to the great MOCers First Order Lego (BARC speeder) and JastaBrick (AT-RT), their fantastic designed speeder and walker fit perfectly to the freight wagons.
I hope you like the MOC. #legolux1973 #legostarwars #lego #starwars
Some of the Steam Engines taking part in the Vintage Week Festival Parade in Birr Co. Offaly. Nice to see them driving by the house.
The service facility and engine house in Temple, Texas sits directly across the tracks from the Temple Amtrak Station. The tracks going to the right, on the right side of the photo is the BNSF Galveston Subdivision, which changes to the BNSF Ft. Worth Subdivision on the other side of Temple Yard. The tracks going to the left, on the left side of the photo is the BNSF Lampasas Subdivision.
There is a full service facility, sanding towers, fuel racks, and storage tracks. Locomotives are serviced before going out on road trips. There is always a variety of interesting locomotives being worked on here.
Here we can see BNSF 8583, BNSF 3998, BNSF 6743, BNSF 5188, and BNSF 4302 just to name a few.

Two Rolls Royce engines end to end for Sheffield hills!
With chassis made by Dennis in Guildford, Surrey, body built by Alexanders in Falkirk, Scotland and fitted with a Rolls Royce engine to cope with Sheffield's hills, the new bus entered service with South Yorkshire PTE in May 1983, receiving fleet number 2281.
The original livery was South Yorkshire's Tan and Cream. The new bus was allocated to Sheffield's Herries Road garage.
She became Mainline 2281 in June 1993 and was subsequently re-painted into Mainline livery of red and yellow with silver and blue bands above the 'skirt'. The company was sold to its employees on November 18th 1994, becoming Mainline Group Ltd. Mainline joined the First Group in July 1998, becoming First Mainline and then on March 24th 2003, First South Yorkshire.
First Group had embarked on a national renumbering scheme and 2281 became 30430 on February 27th 2003, only to be withdrawn shortly afterwards.
The newly renumbered 30430 passed to Houston Ramm, the Heywood, Lancashire dealer in June 2003, destined for the Barnsley scrap yards - in line with First Group policy not to allow their buses to be sold on for further passenger carrying service.
City Church Sheffield had been looking for a suitable vehicle and First Group gave Houston Ramm permission to sell it to them on condition that it would not be used or sold on as a service bus. The bus was then delivered back to Sheffield in July 2003.
Since then much help has been given by First South Yorkshire at Rotherham and by other volunteers to bring the bus back to a roadworthy condition and to prepare it for its new role. During much of this time it has been housed at the Sheffield Bus Museum at Tinsley.
The aim is to equip the bus with a coffee-bar downstairs and a lounge area on the upper deck. It will then be used in and around Sheffield in connection with the many activities of the church.
And it was!! It was very useful and a great resource too!

Mazda is based out of Hiroshima, and considering my recent stateside purchase, I figured I should pay their museum/factory a visit. Here's a shot of their pride and joy: the Wankel rotary engine.

Motor still made good power, but most likely has a cracked head gasket (no milkshake coolant and oil is fine). You can see external coolant leak at cylinder #6

The bus appeared in the 1964 Earls Court Motor Show. It is a hybrid of Daimler chassis and Guy driveline with Gardner engine. It has appeared in a Tesco advert. The vehicle was new to South Shields Corporation as No 140. On withdrawal, it was retained by Busways and later Stagecoach, and has been maintained by the 140 Group for 32 years. It has been in preservation longer than it was in service. The only double decker remaining in South Shields.
