Over 90 newly certified law enforcement officers graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 during a ceremony held at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church (3475 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN).

Morris County Law Enforcement Career Development students spent time with the Morris County Sheriff's K-9 Unit learning how canines are used in law enforcement. Students also learned about Defensive Tactics from Parsippany Police Sergeant Allan Griffin and spent time learning about the daily rigors of life in the police academy from Lt. Mark Meehan, Police Training Coordinator at the Morris County Public safety Training Academy. Students also met one on one with current police academy recruits to learn how to prepare themselves for a career in law enforcement.
