Photozoan embryos have a surprising ability to turn around quickly. In fact, they turn so fast that, in the blink of an eye, the head can shapeshift into a tail, and vice-versa.

Many of the poems have been published more than once, both in print and online. The impetus for my first visuals was
Eric Amann who began to include them in his groundbreaking journal, Cicada. Other pieces have appeared in places such as: John Curry's Running Head (Underwhich Editions, 1983) Industrial Sabotage, 1985, # 34 and 1998, No. #56 as well as poems-a-penny, 2000, #339; Frank Davey's Open Letter, Contextualities: Contemporary Visual Poetry in Canada, 1999, #6; Derek Beaulieu's Courier: An Anthology of Concrete and Visual Poetry (Housepress, 1999); Geof Huth's DBQP, 1989, #58, DBQP, 1992, #146 and an/theology of pwoermds (The Runaway Spoon Press, 2004).
However, 12 poems which have never been submitted for publication elsewhere, make their debut here.
