I couldn't believe that that was the white crumb they always carry when you disturb their nest. It looks like an embryo ant.
This picture shows a chicken embryo 24 hours after fertilization. When we looked through the microscope, the first thing we noticed were the vertebrae of this embryo. Other things we labeled on this slide were the appearance of the notochord, forebrain, and hind brain. An interesting thing about this embryo is that it is similar to how we looked during our 24th hour of life. There is a clear "top" to this embryo and a clear "bottom", which can also be seen in a human.
Still in the developmental stages or embryonic form I think. The yolk sac below? Nonetheless, it's still in the egg jelly which you might be able to see if you stare hard enough.
