Taking a break from the Yellowstone pics to get back to a few from this summer...we had a very short reprieve from the heat; a few days in the upper 80's & low 90's but that didn't last long...the mercury is climbing again, and there seems to be no end in sight. That is until four weeks from tomorrow...as John Muir would say, "the mountains are calling, and I must go."

This is a really cool emblem. It is on a 1963 Mercury Marauder.

A well patina Ford Emblem stands out between the lichen that has started growing on top of the well patina hood of an old Ford truck. Gone are the days of polishing this Ford emblem to make it shine. Now the weathered and antique look begins to show from years of sitting in an old car lot. If only this emblem could talk, the stories he could tell.

Si je ne me trompe pas cet oiseaux a récemment été désigner emblème aviaire du canada.

Malgré sa petite taille il a un vol plutot lent et rectiligne ( un peu comme un gros rapace) ce qui nous permet de faire des photos en vol. Comme les conditions nous le permettais, on s'est gâté ! =)
