We went out to the sailboat this evening and things have gone from bad to worse for the owner. Sand is taking over the craft and the waves have busted through the windows on the port side, allowing sand and water in. At this point, I think it's going to take a backhoe and a water jet (Mama Lizards idea) to move enough sand to get it out. Very sad situation.

A rabbit freezes amongst the grasses.
The reason freezing works as a defense is that a predator’s attack behavior may actually be triggered by motion. Evolution has caused the freeze strategy to come into existence precisely because it fits in with the way the visual systems of predators operate.

Been a while since I posted an old cottage. Here´s one I found last weekend. I think it was quite nice and blended in well among the autumn leaves.
