The Eastland Square shopping center was built in 1979 and 1980. The shopping center was anchored by Central Hardware and a Big Bear grocery store. The sign underneath the Eastland Square sign used to be for Central Hardware.

Dublin Core Conference 2006, That is going to be hosted in Manzanillo, Colima
from the 3 to 6th of October.
Thomas Baker sent us the program committee list of DC 2005. Therefore We are
again hereby pleased to invite you to be part of this committee of DC 2006, we
had already include some other Colleagues from Latin America that are willing
to participate.
“Call for papers” is open from January to 25th of April.

While bumbling through the desert in Southern Utah, I noticed a few of these little cactus clusters sprinkled all over the desert landscape. This one, like so many others, really looked like a nasty little thing to fall into!

The Wolfman Jack Statue in Del Rio, Tx.. Standing around 3ft tall, this is in the Museum in Del Rio, Tx. This is the proto-type to what was to have been an actual life-size statue to be placed in the downtown area but for what ever reason, that (sadly) fell through. THIS still should happen though!!
Wolfman Jack is my biggest nation-wide Disc Jockeys' influences.. Known nearly all over the world, he was in the 1972 hit movie, "American Graffiti" as himself when he was on XERB-1090am, Los Angeles, CA. He first got his start, 'mainly' on XERF-AM, a station on the other side of the border which had the super power of 250,000 watts, also known as one of the "Border Blasters", which is why so many could hear him, especially at night time.. There's a video of him going back to the station in the 1980's & do a broadcast on youtube. This actually starts off at Keller's Hamburgers in Dallas Tx which is still in business!! Born in Brooklyn NY, January 21 1939 & his given name, Robert Weston Smith...
Sadly :( he passed away at only 57 years old on July 1 1995 from a major heart-attack.
His voice still lives on in re-broadcasts of his older shows & all over youtube too..
I do a recreation of his shows ever so often on my Real Oldies Show on KSGV-955FM, Seagoville Tx and also at The Galaxy Drive In Theatre, in Ennis (Garrett) Tx also.. I use what I've collected over the years of his broadcasts' etc and mix them with in the music to make it sound like it's Wolfman Jack doing a great show, as he always did.
Keeping my radio idol memory alive..
RIP Wolfman Jack.. Gone much too soon but never forgotten..

The long lines separate years, each row is a separate email address, the length of the green is the size of the email.
Email data exported from Outlook into Access then filtered into text doc for reading by Processing. Contact me if you want the script.

This Oprey was photographed on 10/12/12 while birding Lake Casablanca State Park in
Laredo Tx during lunch hour. I saw it dive at a distance and it eventully flew in my direction with its catch. Upon dowloading images to process, I noticed bands on legs that read 29. I noted the projection from its wing but it wasn't until Rolando Chavez pointed out the transmitter and gave me a link to an Osprey Migration site. I contacted Osprey Migration Director for this link and thru several forwarded emails, I learned that this Osprey was a female from a family of 5 that was banded in Jackson Hole Wyoming and started migrating in early September 2012. This photo has a point to it.
I'm noticing that I have a lot of contacts who never comment on my photos. I get so many emails saying contacts have uploaded that it clogs my inbox and robs me of precious time.
(I know I can shut that off, I tried that and I missed a lot of photos from regulars.)
I know it goes both ways, there are some contacts I don't comment on either because they don't comment on me or I have no interest in flowers or sunsets.
I'm not interested in your photography skills, I'm interested in you.
How can you have 2,000 contacts and keep up with all of them? Like friends in real life, I'd rather have less but have them be real ones.
So I am going to do the same thing I am trying to do to my love handle - trim the fat.
I am going to pay close attention in the next two-three weeks to see who comments on at least a semi-regular basis. I don't expect a comment on every photo. I know you have a life, and not every photo will move you enough to comment.
I will also look back and take into account the people who do comment infrequently, but also post infrequently.
Then I am going to start removing contacts. The whole point is to save precious time and inbox space.
The other point to this photo was that I look awful today and I just couldn't show my face.
I only noticed the homoerotic undertones of this as I typed. And then I realized a certain segment of my audience is going to have a field day.
