This is an alternative rendering of a shot previously posted.

back when i first started vomiting my life onto the internet (ten years ago next month), i had a friend named anna. we knew each other peripherally at first, through a mailing list, but soon became as inseparable as two people can be when they live a time zone apart, sending gigantic emails back & forth, spending hours at a time on ICQ, & eventually mailing composition books filled with writing to each other as supplements to our lives.

when we first met, i'd just started my second year of college & thought i ought to document my misery -- b/c that's an uplifting thing to do* -- & somehow we just clicked. we were best friends for a number of years but had an unpleasant & intense falling out nearly four years ago & though i know we both sort of checked up on each other over the years -- the internet makes that kind of thing remarkably easy, after all -- there has been absolutely no contact between the two of us.

till tonight, when anna emailed me.

& though i never expected, ever, to hear from her again, & though i know there's no friendship to go back to after all this time, i mean, fuck. it's a start. it's a thing. it's a big thing. people can change, grow up, reconcile. let this be a lesson to you: there's always hope.

My two black cats like to sleep next to my computer. This is particularly so at the moment when I've removed all the clutter. I couldn't resist taking this series of shots of them… I took each photo, then remote accessed the computer and put it as a desktop image… took another photo and then mounted that as the desktop image. I got through six shots before they woke up!!! LOL

This is three pictures taken by my wife and I on friday April 17 on road # 79 between Guntersville and Scottsboro in an area known as "Prestons Island". We tried to acess the main island area but were turned away by a deputy who informed us they were still cleaning the roads and all up and to come back later.

And to imagine this was a week after the storms hit. Nature can really get angry. Feel free to post these on the blog if you havent got enough from this area.

Experimenting with two different ways to mount the gopro. Underneath has the advantage of being closer to CoG but the downside is heavier because I use the waterproof case to hang it below.

It started snowing here in Atlanta, near I-20, around 3 p.m. For the first couple of hours, it was just flurries. Then around 6 or 7 p.m. ET, the snow really began coming down. I went and walked through the neighborhood during the halftime of the Alabama game and got some of these photos. Enjoy and Roll Tide!

This is gorgeous, Bridgit. Sorry it took so long for me to put it

up... your smaller version did the trick! But does anyone else

finally see why Evan and Bill Carson call each other "Clone"?

We expect to drive into a service bay using the batteries some time today, when they can fit us in.

May check out a few squeaks while the old girl is over the pits.
