Elsing Hall is one of the loveliest houses in Norfolk. 'Mostly 1460-1470 but much restored and embellished by Thomas Jekyll in 1852,' says Pevsner. It is moated and Grade I listed. Today the exceptionally pretty gardens were open as part of the charitable National Gardens Scheme. Elsing drew quite a crowd.
I a completely dark room I "painted" the scene moving around a small led flashlight.

OK so another one which I took a couple of months back, and why? Because I screwed up!! I put the camera down for a little while and took a break from photography for a couple of weeks, upon getting back into it and walking for miles around Berlin taking shots, every single one, was err, well, coming out shit! Why? It transpired that my exposure compensation was for some unbeknownst reason set too high; so thus the result of photos were blown out, glare filled and generally horrible.
Upon discovering my mistake very last night when I had taken, what I thought were going to be great shots of the Alex, looked like they'd been taken on a cheap mobile phone; much pissed-offness ensued! Oh well, lesson learned, I always try to attain to the philosophy of either getting the shot you want or learning to do it better. So note to self, always check your settings before venturing out, no more different than how a chef always sharpens his/her blades before service. A very silly mistake on my part!!

Maybe someone else has seen this, but a few years ago while leaving one of the ports in the Bahamas I photographed this house. We were told is was the remnants from a past hurricane, but I don't know that for sure.
My wife talked me into a short cruise and it will possibly will be my last......fun, but tooooo much food. My will power failed me during the trip.
I love finding these little pockets of life clinging to the limestone. This hawthorn bush, lit by golden hour, just grabbed my attention. There's a quiet resilience to the Dales that always inspires me. Anyone else feel that way about this place?

Unesco World Heritage site: During the late 2nd century B.C. (Bronze Age), a structure known as nuraghi (for which no parallel exists anywhere else in the world) developed on the island of Sardinia. Its purpose is still debated, but it is believed to be defensive. The complex consists of circular defensive towers in the form of truncated cones built of dressed stone, with corbel-vaulted internal chambers. The complex at Barumini, which was extended and reinforced in the first half of the 1st millennium under Carthaginian pressure, is the finest and most complete example of this remarkable form of prehistoric architecture. A village, intended to accommodate the surrounding population, was built around the Nuraghe in the Late Bronze Age.

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️
