L'EXPOSITION DANS L'EXPOSITION - Quatre éléments, saisons, humeurs, couleurs, 2023
- sanguin : air, printemps, blanc, rouge ;
- colérique : feu, été, jaune, orange, rouge vif ;
- mélancolique : terre, automne marron, violet, noir ;
- flegmatique : eau, hiver, vert pâle, opale.
Successivement :
Les quatre éléments (1573) de Giuseppe Arcimboldo
Les quattre saisons d' Alphonse MUCHA (1860-1939)
Les humeurs du corps humain d'après Virgil Solis l'ancien
Fifth Element is one of the movies I’ll watch over and over again.
I’ve been working on this taxi from the movie for quite a long time and finished it today. Difficulty in getting the right parts (and learning a few things about some popular Bricklink sellers), a mishap that caused me to order a new set of stickers, plus this is a fragile model and has come apart more than once. But it’s done and as soon as I find the minifigs I bought to go with it…

Skógafoss is a waterfall situated on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland at the cliffs of the former coastline. After the coastline had receded seaward (it is now at a distance of about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) from Skógar), the former sea cliffs remained, parallel to the coast over hundreds of kilometres, creating together with some mountains a clear border between the coastal lowlands and the Highlands of Iceland
One aspect that I love about almost any art-form is the 'element of chance' ... the unexpected texture in a batik, the random decision when making a mosaic that turns out to be a key feature, and the unexpected subject matter in a photograph.
I'd been sitting outside in my garden to eat lunch and I spotted a spider that appeared as if it was dangling in mid-air.
So I thought it'd make a cool shot to focus in as close as I could and align the spider above the streetlight or over my neighbour's roof. The auto focus took a bit of convincing to highlight the spider.
It wasn't until I downloaded the shots that I'd taken that I realized how the lens had picked up the finesse of the fine strands (that I hadn't seen) that make up the fine art of the spider's web against the clear blue sky and the darkness of the faded Buddleia, and I liked it so much that I cropped the image to include the spider's lunch, but not the spider itself.

Grey Heron on Roath Brook with what was probably paper or cardboard in its beak, Fortunately it decided it was not a suitable snack and dropped it, Note how shallow the water was because of the lack of significant rainfall recently.

So Daredevil season 2 is coming out very soon, so I thought I'd make some of it's criminals
Electra: Dylan gave me the idea to use a cape as a balaclava, and it worked really well.
Wilson Fisk: I think I posted him before, but here he is again.
Frank Castle: used a cut decool hairpiece for his hair. I thought about painting the head, but liked this more.
Stick: Found this head and new it would work perfect.
My LEGO version of the Fifth Element Taxi, inspired by the amazing work of Jean-Claude Mézières. Slightly bigger than minifig scale.
Leeloo already big-badaboomed into it, hence the damaged roof...

this is one of the earlier manipulations that inspired my eventual series (the one I have been posting)
may 5, I wrote: "I like the concept of overlapping my digital and film pictures: the film photos are public memories, the digital ones personal and private documentation. paired together, they can translate an entirely new idea. in a crowd of people, we are all congregated together and yet very much alone. outside, I appear collected but I promise you: every single person could be impacting me in some way. you may not know it, but the Mind is a chaotic place - for everyone."
have you ever wanted to animate a still photo ??
well now you can....goto
and check out a nu evolutionary software
We went out to visit grandmas house this past weekend and she has a playground full of white sand; it was golden hour and the light on the sand made for perfect lighting with long shadows. The sand matched perfectly to Donuts tactical gear.🙌🍩
Lens Used:
Jupiter 37a 135mm f3.5
This lens is a long reaching lens that perfectly captured a thin slice of focus as it compresses the background and foreground into wonderful bokeh full of character. One of my go to lenses in my kit. I use an m42 to Sony E-mount adapter to shoot on my Sony a7r. It’s perfect for bright scenes wide open as the length of the lens helps to lower the amount of light for the scene.
