Man, is this place retro? I can't remember if this electronic store was still open back in 2007 when this photo was taken. Tape recorders and Hi-Fi components? Some young ones have never come across them in their lives...
My OM-2 with the Zuiko 16mm f3.5 Fisheye. I hope to get some good results with this camera, I just got the mirror unstuck (it had been sitting in disuse for a long time). Added some new batteries and it appears to function perfectly well, going to put some film through it and see how it performs!

My cute little headphone amplifier. Two OPA134 op-amps, a split rail mains PSU, laser engraved perspex panels in a Hammond extruded aluminium enclosure.
This setup is specifically for taking photos of food when traveling and posting on www.mybangkokeats.com. A perfect match for it's focal length and speed while being able to focus as close as 0.3 meter (1-foot). A lot of fun matching this system with other m42 lenses via a Kipon adapter.
This is a new edition to my collection so I've only starting shooting with this one. Previously, I used a Canon 5D Mark ii to shoot the majority of the food photos found on the blog with a variety of lenses (Canon 50mm 1.1f, Carl Zeiss 35mm 2f ZE, SMC 28mm 2.8f).
One of my favorite cameras even though I don't use it much. This is my Fuji GW670II. It takes 120 film so you get beautiful large (6x7) negatives.
Here you can see the D40x sensor with its IR blocking filter removed. Without this filter, and without an IR passing filter, the D40x now records both IR and Visible light.
The 555 timer generates pulses and can be used for a bunch of stuff. Pulse characteristics are determined by resistors and capacitors. By varying the resistor value using my "keyboard", I can control the frequency of the pulses going off to a speaker. However, the keyboard would probably need to have trimpots rather than static resistors in order to make proper (CDEFGAB) tuning possible.
オールドカメラ/ビンテージカメラと呼ばれるジャンルはいずれもフィルム時代のカメラを指すもので、デジカメには向いていない。フィルムカメラにとってのオールドないしビンテージは”味”であり”風格”であるのに対し、デジカメにとっての其れは”欠点”であり”粗”でしか無く、趣きの欠片も無い。にも関わらず時折、カメラ防湿保管庫から引っぱり出しては使いたくなるのが、このソニーCyber-Shot DSC-F828。広角端28mmでの豪快な歪曲はここまで喰らうとむしろ御褒美に思えてくるのだから不思議なもので。色味の美しさ・自然さは今尚この老機を前線に駆り立てるに十分な動機付けとなります。悪天候が続く肌寒いゴールデンウィーク3日目はF828と過ごしてみました。
Why is it naked you ask? Well, tonight when I went to shoot some shots of the delicious dessert, none of the back buttons worked. Thankfully taking it apart and putting it back together seemed to fix it. So the camera isn't broken after all. Yay! :)

Werra III 35mm camera from East Germany, 1954-57.
Unusual ring mechanism around the lens for advancing the film and resetting shutter. Matching lens cap reverses to act as sun shade. All the other functions are minimized and relegated to the underside.
Mine definitely has some issues - a few dents and scratches plus light leaks and rangefinder accuracy for starters. But it still looks great in a brutalist architecture way.

New toy!! I've had my eye on one of these ever since seeing the work of 73, Edward Olive, ZZJ and mister bokeh to name a few.
I'm always striving to take a 'new' photo, something different, with a fresh feel and a bit Japanese in it's influence. I think this might help. Now, can anyone help me lift it up please? This is the 'small' version, and it doesn't even have a light meter!
Three generations of folder. L-R:
Rajar No.6, 1929. 6x9cm, shutterspeeds Instant or Time (i.e.around 1/25 on the one setting or as long as you feel like holding it open on the other), no aperture settings, meniscus lens, probably around ƒ/8 or 11, no focus, very rudimentary "brilliant" (= dim) reflecting finder. Point and hope, basically. Plus the bakelite body's cracked so if I want to try taking pics I'm going to need gaffa tape ... says it takes Rajar No.6 rolls only (different to 120) although the spool that's in it looks and feels just like a metal 120 bobbin, and a plastic one fits and turns with the knob, so maybe it's been modified (it was possible). I might have a go with some FP4 one day, once I've got the hang of processing it myself and can do it on the cheap. I doubt the results would be worth the expense of sendaway processing. Alternatively it might do for my one--day project of taping a cut to size bit of direct positive paper inside (it has a nice flat film gate with no guides so will be ideal for this).
Zeiss Ikon Nettar 510/2, 1938 or so. 6x9cm, shutterspeeds 1/25, 1/75, B and T, aperture ƒ/7.7-22 and a bit beyond, focussing Nettar anastigmat, an actual brilliant "brilliant" finder (although still tiny and only vaguely usable for framing), plus a folding sports finder. An actual usable camera with all the necessary creative functions. Stamped metal body that feels tinny, light and cheap but is actually really strong (hey, it's a Zeiss!) and is still light-tight. I've put a couple of rolls through it, it takes pictures! (Slow film is best, ISO400 is way too fast for the shutterspeeds on offer).
Mess-Baldix, 1954. 6x6 with some real proper photographer stuff on it! Shutterspeeds 1-1/300 + B (Prontor-SVS), Ennagon coated triplet lens, apertures ƒ/3.5-22 and beyond, an uncoupled rangefinder so you can measure distances rather than guessing, although you still need to read off the distance from the knob on top and transfer it to the lens. Plus proper ratchet wind, film counter, all really sophisticated stuff and you'd just about get away with using a faster film in it even in bright sunlight. I'll find out soon, first roll's finished and just awaiting me (still) to get off my fat arse and send it away.
