Cámara réflex 6x6 de alta gama. Lente Plannar 80mm f2,8 y respaldo de 120mm.
Ésta es la Rollei sl66 con su lente Plannar. Esta cámara fue durante décadas la clásica competidora de Hasselblad, hasta hace muy poco. Es más, los fundadores de Rollei y Hasselblad llegaron a un acuerdo en los años `50 en el cual, Rollei se comprometía a no fabricar cámaras réflex de formato medio y Hasselblad se comprometía a no fabricar cámaras de lentes gemelos de formato medio. Y así quedaron, hasta que el pacto se rompió y Rollei presentó su Rollei sl66 en 1966. Tienen algunas semejanzas, las dos usan lentes Karl Zeiss, las dos fueron diseñadas para los estudios de fotógrafos profesionales, las dos son unas maravillas. Ahora, la Rollei sl66 dio, en mi opinión, tres adelantos técnicos que la colocan un poco más arriba.
1) El cuerpo incorpora un sistema de basculado vertical de +8º a -8º, que permite variar el ángulo de la profundidad de campo.
2) El sistema de enfoque es por fuelle, brindándole mayor precisión y una distancia mínima de enfoque de unos pocos centímetros
3) Los lentes son reversibles. Es decir, uno puede colocar el plannar 80mm al revés y se convierte en un Macro de hasta 1,5x. (algo que mide 1cm en la realidad, ocupa 1,5 cm de la película.
Desventajas frente a la Hasselblad:
1) Es algo más grande
2) Sólo sincroniza en 1/30
Tendría que detenerme demasiado en esta cámara para explicarles todas sus bondades. Mejor busquen en la net y vean por ustedes mismos.
Les comento su principal desventaja: sincroniza sólo en 1/30. Existen lentes que tienen incorporados obturadores para sincronizar en todas las velocidades, pero nunca busqué uno porque yo no uso flash.

Eine uralte Platine, gegen das Licht fotografiert. Dieses TTL-Grab stammt wahrscheinlich aus einem alten Diskettenlaufwerk oder einem alten Plotter. Irgendwie hat sie eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit mit Stadtplänen...

I finally got a dedicated workspace for my electronics and ham radio projects instead of just doing them on my computer desk.

These displays are all new for my Walmart.
My local Walmart recently under went a slight remodel in adding new signage as well as a slight rearrangement in aisles for some departments. I figured I'd take some photos of all the new sights. Pictures of the old arrangements can be found in the same album.

Been wanting to try a thick power cable on my SACD Player for quite a long time now. Cannot find a decent sounding 2-prong power cable for the longest time and with this adaptor, i can use now my spare thick power cable on my SACD Player.

An ATtiny13 uses PWM to fade 12 0603 surface mount green LEDs in and out, suspended from the PCB inside a jam jar. The ATtiny13 picks a random LED to flash each time, flashes it once, twice or three times randomly, then waits a random amount of time before flashing the next one. An incrementing counter is stored in EEPROM and used to seed the random number generator, leading to a different sequence each time the device is powered up via the switch mounted on the top. The LEDs are arranged in a standard 3x2 matrix which gives 6 LEDs, and for each position there is a second LED in reverse. The two column controllers are PB0 and PB1 as they can do PWM - another two LEDs could be added between PB0 and PB1 (and were on the prototype) but made the PCB design needlessly more complex: 12 is more than enough!

Robot One is the first robot my friend and I have put together.
It's got an Arduino + Protoboard tucked into its guts, a Sharp IR sensor atop a servo, an ultrasonic sensor at the front and two modified servos for wheels. There's a 4xAA battery box holding 4 rechargable NiMH batteries, taped underneath.
The chassis base is cardboard from a Farnell box, the main fastener is red PVC tape.
Right now, it is capable of driving forwards, and turning around when it detects something is a few centimeters ahead of it - the IR sensor is not yet used, though it is wired up.
Improvements (coming soon!): Chassis out of black high-impact polystyrene, fasteners out of screws, geared motors for control, dedicated PCB or at least Arduino shield for microcontroller control.
well not really, i sure know the F-16 much, MUCH better than this stuff!
i scored some really old equipment (oscilloscope and pulse generator), but i have no idea how to use it. cant even produce a sine wave as-is. :(
any ideas are welcome, of course.
well, at least those things smell strongly of electronics when in operation. so yeah, i think i'll just go to sleep while smelling their scent of nerdyness for now. =)
