Soldering bench is still a work in progress
Not the enclosed Wal-Mart electronics department of bygone days years and years ago, but nostalgic-looking nonetheless. Very reminiscent of what the store in Olive Branch looked like prior to it's Project Impact remodel circa 2011-2012. The Wal-Mart Supercenter in Corinth Mississippi (now also a full Project Impact-ed "Walmart" unfortunately) had the enclosed electronics area until about a year ago (summer 2013), and had the even older decor package, with signange and such very similar to the Wal-Mart Random Retail recently posted pictures of: www.flickr.com/photos/walmart3/sets/72157645323256675. Why didn't I think to get pictures of the Corinth store back circa early 2012 when I was in it!?? I only have one photo on flickr of it's exterior, from back in October of that year: flic.kr/p/ff37xT.

Digital storage adapt0r. This Thurlby DSA524 will turn my 1970s Hewlett-Packard oscilloscope into a 1980s digital storage oscilloscope.
The bandwidth is 5MHz, which will allow me to see the rise and fall of waveforms produced by 1970s digital electronics fairly clearly.
It also has tons of buttons and red LEDs and beeps when you switch it on.
Oh and an interface port that allows you to connect it to a BBC Master Microcomputer.

Quick implementation of an inclinometer with a 3 axis accelerometer on Arduino. It's a 3g model, which is a bit of overkill for this application.
I'll combine this with the electronic compass to compensate for inclination AND get an absolute heading measurement. I don't think I'll need the gyros.
I've since combined this with my Arduino-to-RC-Transmitter hack to control two servos remotely based on the inclination of the Arduino. Aim? Head motion tracking to pan a camera remotely.
We have a new park/playground in town and this is one of the most popular games. The kids run around hitting the buttons on the posts and rack up scores.
Clever to take electronic games outside where the kids have to run and breathe fresh air!
here's the "Generation" toy camera. i love the type they put on plastic junk like this to make them look more high dollar.
has 3 aperture settins and a not so great film advance.

1970 The NAGRA SN recorder, in spite of its small size, produces exceptionally high quality recordings. It is much appreciated by reporters, who can record broadcast quality tapes and, at the same time, be more mobile.
The letters 'SN' stand for Série Noir (Black Series) as the recorder was originally ordered by President John F. Kennedy for the American secret services. Apparently, the Nagra SN was even taken to the moon on one of the Apollo missions.

appareils photo anciens (Voigtländer et Sem) trouvés à côté des bennes à ordures du village d'à côté, où ils avaient été abandonnés ... mon mari les a récupérés, nettoyés et a réparé les parties visibles abîmées . Ils ne fonctionnent plus, certes, mais cela restent de beaux objets avec une sacrée histoire.

Exakta bayonet mount, filter thread 49mm, serial no. 6325794 (introduced in 1961)
Aperture: f/2.8 - f/22, setting: ring and scale on the lens
Focus range : 0.50 - 15m +inf
Exa II line are fixed finder cameras.
The Exa II line was introduced earlier than Exa I, in 1959, and manufactured concurrently with first Exa, and then Exa I models until 1963, to be replaced with Exa IIa and later, IIb.
The prism is permanently fixed (with a plain groundglass, at least in this one), and the camera has a regular focal-plane shutter running vertically. The wind lever is not as smooth as that of Exa Ia, probably because of a different shutter mechanism.
The body shape, size, and weight are similar to those of the Exa I line, and the feel and finish somewhat better.

Macro photography testing for the Tokina 500mm f/8 mirror telelens. The PCB is lit with a flash below the circuit board and with a blue spot from the side.
I got my first DSLR camera about a year ago and this the 100th image I uploaded to Flickr out of 3000 pictures I've taken during that perioid.

Television
Now, you may be looking at this photo & thinking "Television? I don't see a television, where is it?" Strangely, I am thinking the exact same thing, WHERE IS THE FRIGGIN' TELEVISION?????? I have searched all over this house for that stupid television & I can't find it anywhere. I can't imagine that I got rid of the tv & kept the stand & the remote, but I've run out of places to look. It's probably mixed in with some other set & the only way I will ever find it is if I accidentally run across it. Soooooo frustrating.
EDITED: I'm leaving my original description up, but as you can see, I finally found the TV. I was looking at an old photo I took of an office diorama & realized that the TV was in it. I dug out the diorama items, & there it was, YAY! I didn't have the "screen", so I Googled a photo & recreated it from there & retook the picture. So happy to have finally found it.
Starting from the top a Sony all vacuum tube dual channel mic / or line pre amps and tape playback electronics. Great when used just as two mic pres! In the middle is a vintage 'The Fisher' all vacuum tube mono "Master Audio Control". At the bottom is a Teac dual channel Mic /or line pre amps and tape electronics. Can be used just as two mic pres.
