My third attempt at running an ME Super :/ The first body died completely and became an autopsy for my own entertainment, the second body developed an occasional fault so has been shelved. Third time lucky? I hope so, otherwise my Pentax SMC 50mm F/1.4 goes to waste!
This is a well worn and brassy example, but it makes all the right noises and feels good in the hand :D

Leica M9 + Voigtlander 21mm f4 Color Skopar + Analogue Robot custom 3D Printed hood + Voigtlander 21mm Viewfinder
It's been a while, but I've finally finished designing and testing the new Analogue Robot hoods for the Voigtlander 25/4 and 21/4 pancake rangefinder lenses.
Both work fine on full frame cameras, both have small VF cutouts in them and friction fit firmly over the standard small lens hood "lip", providing protection for the glass, allowing filters to be fitted and providing shading from stray light.

iMac Keyboard
Here's a shot of my iMac keyboard. It is a little bit undusted as you can see. It is kinda sleek and elegant in style, that was why I bought an iMac in the first place eventhough I dont how to use it before. Looks and style count a lot these days and the iMac sure doesn't look anything cheap.
this picture kind of reminds me of EPCOT in the whole futuristic section. you know... where the big golf ball is? well, at first glance, it looks so crisp and clean. typical new-age (almost futuristic looking) technology. but if you look closer,its a filthy mess. all of the corners packed with disgustingness that the workers just sweep behind in the mornings since they're too lazy.this picture goes right along with their laziness, quite proudly.if you look closely, my ipod has a food smudge on the screen, the keys are kind of dirty, and the screen of the laptop is filthy... this whole mess was, of course, my fault for deciding to "myspace" right after lunch. savvy?

Digital and film solutions to the same problem, albeit with vastly different approaches. The Fuji feels solid, yet delicate and is as light as a feather. The F1 is built like a truck bumper and could reasonably serve as an anchor and/or as a weapon.
Both are excellent tools. I love the F1 for its simplicity and for its requirement to know what the hell you're doing with it to get anything at all that's usable. The Fuji is elegant and seemingly simple until you delve a bit beneath its surface and discover how to make its images shine (in progress).
I took a trip to Big Sur with these two this past weekend. While the film is not yet developed, there are some keepers from the Fuji here:

Two old, red, English GPO, telephone boxes. Most have been replaced with more modern kiosks now. These two can be seen in Windsor Strreet, Uxbridge, Middlesex (London).
Some of the glass (or possibly plastic now!) has been vandalised with spray paint, a sign of current times, but these have withstood much more than that in their time.

Because I have been receiving many questions about the 35 mm CV Ultron, I thought I would repost this shot ...
I just got my hands on a the Ultron 35 mm f1.7 lens so I thought I would share my thoughts about this lens in somewhat of an interview style. The advantage of interviewing yourself is that you can tell yourself to "Go Fuck Yourself" without offending anyone !
1. Why did you get the Ultron 35mm f1.7 when you already have Voigtlander's version of the 15 mm and 21 mm ?
Well ... to put it simply ... I have a problem and it may be time for an intervention, I think buying lenses, cameras is analogous to me being a crack addict.
On a serious note, I have been trying to work on my street photography and have been using the 15 mm and 21 mm, these lenses seem to be too wide for "people" shots as even when I do get in close to my subject, it seems like I took the shot from a fair distance.
On the edges of the composition, the 15 & 21 mm lenses offer a fair bit of distortion (an example is someone looking like they are a conehead) but the 35 mm gives a wide perspective without distorting subjects on the periphery of the framed shot. The 35 mm seems to offer a perspective that is natural to the eye.
2. The Bessa R3a does not have a 35mm frameline in the viewfinder, how do you manage to compose your shots ?
The Bessa R3a has a 40mm frameline in the viewfinder, when using the 35 mm lens I simply use the entire image in the viewfinder as a guide to composing 35 mm shots.
3. I see you have been working on a series of images entitled "The Unexceptional", after reviewing these I can confirm that they are unexceptional, will you be using the 35 mm lens for this series?

4. In researching which lens to purchase for your street shooting series, you seriously considered 28mm and 35 mm Leica's, are you too cheap to buy a Leica lens?
Well, I have never heard anyone say "that is a really nice Leica lens shot" so I really think what lens you use is not the issue, in fact if you look at what images seem to resonate with people in my flickrstream, it seems to be images shot with an old Brownie Hawkeye or an image I shot with a plastic "Shitcam" that I bought for a buck.
The reason I purchased the Ultron is that a friend was kind enough to offer me a great deal on it and I am no Ansel Adams or Bresson making a living from my images so really, who cares what lens I use?
5. What do you like about the 35 mm Ultron?
I think it is a great lens for the price, the build quality seems to be excellent, I really like the focusing ring and the f1.7 max aperture is a bonus as I like to shoot a lot of night photography. In general, I have been extremely happy with all of the Voigtlander lenses I own which include the 15mm, 21mm, 35mm, 40mm and 90mm.
In terms of technical comments on image quality, I am not a specification geek examining how one lens compares to the other and I personally cannot comment on the quality of this lens versus Leica.
6. What don't you like about the Ultron 35mm?
The end of the lens creeps into the viewfinder a bit so you can see the lens in the corner of your composition, not a big deal though
7. Well I have to say "Timeshare" this has been one of my worst interviews as you are an asshole !

This one goes back prior to Christmas 2017, before the décor was changed out. Last I heard, that electronics sign was allowed to remain though! The jewelry counter (seen in the middle right of the photo) had alread been downsized (compare to this view by Retail Retell), but at least it wasn't removed entirely.

I came across this Victorian postbox by chance when returning to the car after a walk in Abbey Fields Kenilworth the other week. I don't recall seeing one with a door quite like that before, looks as though it may have been repaired at some time.
