An overview of the electronics desk (still rocking P97 style!), which is the centerpiece of the section itself. You'll note that this store has electronics and entertainment, while nearby, still technically separated. The departments are separated in new stores as well, I suppose, but they're right beside each other rather than across an aisle and oriented in a different direction.

The technic works very well after all this years! We heard radio messages from all over the world there...That made real fun!

BACKSTORY: While rewatching Get Him To The Greek (which we rate 5/5 stars on Netflix, and 9/10[Clint] and 10/10[Carolyn] on IMDB), they showed a shot of the TV. It just happened to be*our* TV, a Sharp Aquos flatscreen. So we took a picture of our TV within our TV. We must have missed this the first time we watched the movie.

Partially influenced by Simon, who uses the M mount Color Skopar 35mm f2.5 - I decided to shoot some films with my small stash of various 35mm f2.5's.
Top row - left to right: ColorSkopar 35mm f2.5 Ltm vI Pancake.
Leica Summarit-M 35mm f2.5, SC Skopar 35mm f2.5 (Nikon Rf mount).

ROLLEI 35 Series Vintage camera. Rolleiflex was a highly respected brand-name being manufactured in Germany & Singapore. This one (ROLLEI 35B) was probably manufactured between 1969-72 and believed to be one of the smallest full-frame 35mm cameras ever built. 35B has a Selenium "solar cell" Exposure meter which generates its own electricity and works perfectly well even after 4 decades.
It comes with Triotar lens designed by Zeiss and made by Rollei. The camera has 3 distinct dials over the lens to set Aperture, Shutter & Focusing distance. Shutter speed varies from B to 1/500 of a second and Aperture between f/3.5 to f/22. This camera has an unusual placement of the flash hot-shoe at the bottom, due to which one had to hold the camera upside-down to take flash photos !!

Het restaureren en inkleuren van oude foto’s is een bijzondere hobby waarbij verleden en techniek samenkomen. Bij het restaureren gaat veel tijd zitten in de voorbereiding: het zorgvuldig verwijderen van krassen, stof en ruis om de foto weer zo helder mogelijk te maken. Daarna volgt het inkleuren, waarbij we onderzoek doen naar de originele kleuren van kleding, gebouwen en omgeving. Toch blijft het resultaat altijd een interpretatie — het is nooit 100% accuraat. Het doel is dan ook niet perfectie, maar om een realistisch en levendig beeld te geven van hoe het er vroeger in kleur uit zou kunnen hebben gezien.

Restoring and colorizing old photographs is where the past and technology come together. During restoration, a great deal of time is spent on preparation: carefully removing scratches, dust, and noise to make the photo as clear as possible again. This is followed by colorization, during which research is conducted into the original colors of clothing, buildings, and the surroundings. Nevertheless, the result always remains an interpretation—it is never 100% accurate. The goal, therefore, is not perfection, but to provide a realistic and vivid image of what it might have looked like in color in the past.

borrowed the M.ZUIKO 17mm/F2.8 Pancake from my wife and went for a walk to the post office. although I own the Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm/F1.7 ASPH, I just felt a little bit more 35mm (EFL) that day.

So many circles here. I always picture music as moving in a circular pattern when I close my eyes and listen to it. This reminds me of the shape of music.
I've had this Minolta 9000 for some time but without a suitable lens to go with with it. This Sunday I was at an antique fair and I managed to pick up a 50mm f1.7 lens for the bargain price of £18! Yay!
Unfortunately something isn't quite right :-( The lens isn't shutting down to the taking aperture properly, and I can't tell if it is the camera or the lens to blame. I have a freind with a Sony DSLR which I thinbk I will have to borrow to find out!
The Minolta 9000 was launched in 1985 and it was Minolta's second auto focus SLR camera after the 7000 launched just a few months earlier.
The 9000 provided a more professional feature set with a tough metal body, fast 1/4000 sec top shutter speed and an optional 5fps motor drive. Without the optional motor drive, and unlike the earlier 7000, power for the film advance is provided solely by the photographers thumb. Interesting factoid: the Minolta 9000 was the only AF SLR ever made with a manual film advance!
But despite the professional feature set, the AF was painfully slow… professional photographers would have to wait a couple more years before autofocus systems developed to a point that could really satisfy their needs.
Airport decor wall signs make ample use of the ampersand - many non-grocery areas have been renamed as "something & something". Most other major signs consist of two words, with alternating blue and gray similar to this one. Very cool and effective, though there are two or three very curious exceptions! Was a little bit disappointed once I figured out that corrugated-looking background is 100% fake though :P

My Lomo Konstruktor F SLR camera. Here you see the red paint stripe I put on the back of the mirror return lever to remind me that I need to cock the shutter. I also did this to my original model Konstroktor too.
I bought this camera in 2016 because I enjoyed playing around with the original, plus I wanted flash capability.
The brochure said there would be Blackberrys, but this is too many Blackberrys At&t's Blackberry line- up for Winter 2009. The Bold 9700 top middle, Bold 9000 bottom middle The 8520 Curve on the left and 8900 Curve on the right. A size comparsion for everyone. Anyone use the Bold 9700? It's so amazing! I've come up with a dilemma, feel free to comment, should trade off/ sell my 16gb 3GS for a Bold 9700 ? After 27 month straight of iPhone use I'm getting kind of burned out ( and who knows how many hundred dollars of apps and music). People think I'm crazy for even thinking about switching up, but what do you think ?

My "Sexy one" and my panoply of old glasses!
I had an undeniable passion for Nikon, Fujifilm with the X-E1 gave me back the pleasure of photography in the pure sense.
Yesterday I took my Fuji X100 down to the studio and I was kind of bored. I just wanted to take an example shot to show its incredible image quality. My model was this little Canon EOS 600D with the crappy kit lens. Well, this photo is actually nothing special. The composition is pretty boring and it isn't particularly well lit (look at the nasty reflections in the lens) but it shows pretty well the brutally sharp and clear images the Fuji X100 is able to take. It performs really well in the studio.
P.S.: I don't own the 600D! ;-)

Atari is actually the inventor of the joystick: The CX40 was the world's first joystick. It was sold together with the "old" Atari VCS and was first released in 1977. The VCS 2600 jr. was shipped with the successor of the CX40.

Yup...its here..today i got my new toy ..its a Canon 1Ds Mark III 21.1 megapixels. full frame sensor..5 frames per second. Even at ISO 3200 i tested and there was no noise..impressive...
I also got 3new lenses to feed this hungry monster..

The question of the day is how long will it take me to learn this camera considering the fact the i hardly read manuals..i guess i am just gonna play with my new toy...sounds like fun so far. I might have to order a cart to lug my new camera and lens. boy everything weighs a ton.
My story of digital photography is not that old. Got my first digital camera, a Sony DSC F 828 three years ago and things went crazy. Every day i got sucked into digital photography more and more. Got my first DSLR camera 4 months ago. A Sony alpha A350 . it’s a great camera but it took me 3 days to realize its good for what I have paid but it’s not a pro and yes it will take miss Sony some time to come up with a real pro system. Sorry Sony guys.
Sony went back to Best buy after one week. Now questions was Canon or Nikon. And answer was not that simple since both are excellent but my research made me realize that no doubt canon is the leader. Sorry Nikon guys.
I got my first canon DSLR 40D four months ago. it’s an amazing camera , no question about that. But i guess its time for an upgrade....lol
