The British Embassy Budapest organised an Election Night party on 6 May 2010. The programme included welcoming remarks by HM Ambassador Greg Dorey and Election Analyst Robert Laszlo from Political Capital, "news feeds" from UK news networks during the entire evening, a free UK Election 2010 guide, a "dummy election" and a pub quiz on UK history, the electoral system and the candidates.

Tanzania's third Presidential and parliament election originally scheduled for October 30, was postponed following the death of one of the vice presidential candidates.

Local Elections were held today. We voted. We always vote. Whether it's the primaries or the general election, we take the kids down the street to the Civic Center and, together, we vote. Eastland helped me today, picking his favorite candidate for each of the local offices that were in contention. We'll know tomorrow who won. But today we voted.
