need some colors after a week of snow and cold

Sunrise at Elbow Falls west of Calgary, Alberta. This day saw me start the day at this location and making my way south to the porcupine hills and returning on the forestry trunk and Kananaskis hiway. It was quite the day of gorgeous countryside!

This one is a little late. Kissed with a frosting of snow, this shot of Elbow Falls is from 2 months ago. Glad the snow is gone and we can enjoy the warmer weather. Oops, best get the lawn cut.

This species is uncommonly seen since it usually stays buried in sand or shell rubble during daylight. Apparently it captures small prey in the elbow, not with the pinchers.
