Sound Effects Box:

Project 64 Button panel (a 64 button board arranged in a 8x8 matriix) used to select different sounds that have been loaded into the VoiceShield.

Old style BW Treatment of this photo - my preference for most elephant shots, where the colour of the soil where they live seems to dominate the image.

Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. (see www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/index.asp). Feeding time in the Nairobi centre for the youngest of the orphan elephants.

Cath! My effects unit knows your name!

Felt the desire to "do something" with one of my dandelion shots..

Well that was the last of the bytes left to use... but was it worth it?? YEAAAAAAAAAAAHH! I hope so.. especially these last two. :)

I was thinking about all the global warming views that are being traded between opposing factions, and came up with this. Am I making a point? Maybe. Maybe not. :-)

Sound has a great impact on mind. A distracted and restless mind can be easily centered by listening to good and melodious music and songs. Different effects of sound are due to their different types of vibrations. Every word or in fact every letter of a word which we utter, emits different kinds of vibrations in the atmosphere. Similarly the tone with which we utter a word affects the quality of vibrations.

Seeing the effects of different types of sound and music on our body and mind, our yogic texts have classified various sounds into three categories:

a)Satwik Sounds – These sounds give inner joy and elevation to mind and calm down distracted and tense mind. Devotional songs, bhajans, classical music, melodious songs, nature sounds come under this category.

b)Rajasik Sounds – These sounds stimulates and excites the mind and make it restless. Pop Songs come under this category.

c)Tamsik Sounds – These sounds make the mind dull and drowsy. You are well aware of the such music and they are especially the songs which you just become bored, drowsy and sleepy.

Hence cultivate the habit of listening to good music to keep your mind elevated. Music is used nowadays as a part of therapy also.

Special effects one covers Mary Poppins as a cutting edge example. Animation one is brilliant too. Even a section on propaganda films!
