I'm starting to learn some After Effects. As an exercice I've decided to make a logo apparition in blue print. This is still a WIP and more will be added soon

I felt fine when I had this done but some people freaked out. It felt like I was having a mint facial =)
I was just playing with a clever way to present my resume in After Effects so I thought I would share.
A member from 1 Combat Engineer Regiment (1 CER) conducts a radio check on a 571 man pack radio during a Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (CIED) scenario while on Exercise PROMETHEAN RAM 16 in the training area of 3 Canadian Division Support Base (3 CDSB) Garrison Wainwright, on April 13, 2016.
Exercise PROMETHEAN RAM is a live-fire exercise that verifies 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group’s (1 CMBG) offensive and defensive combat capabilities in a deployed environment. Soldiers of 1 CMBG will emerge from this demanding exercise as a highly cohesive team, having refined their battlefield skills, synchronized their combined arms effects, and expanded confidence in their weapon systems.

Un membre du 1er Régiment du génie de combat (1 RGC) procède à une vérification radio sur une radio portative 571 pendant le déroulement d’un scénario de lutte contre les engins explosifs improvisés (C-IED) utilisé dans le cadre de l’exercice PROMETHEAN RAM 16, tenu dans le secteur d’entraînement de la Base de soutien de la 3e Division du Canada (BS 3 Div C), à la garnison Wainwright, le 13 avril 2016.
L’exercice PROMETHEAN RAM est un exercice de tir réel ayant pour objet de vérifier les capacités offensives et défensives de combat du 1er Groupe-brigade mécanisé du Canada (1 GBMC) en milieu de déploiement. Les membres du 1 GBMC, au sortir de cet exercice exigeant, formeront une équipe très cohésive, car ils auront raffiné leurs compétences sur le champ de bataille, synchronisé les effets combinés de leurs armes et gagné en confiance dans leurs systèmes d’arme.

(I realize this is not RE photography per se but it may be helpful to some.)
This is an example of HDR... then subtle use of the Lighting Effects filter in PS. It's a great filter once you get the hand of it.
Adobe really should make the preview larger so it'd be easier to use. Anyway, this filter can help throw accent lighting on areas that were missed or not thought of at shoot time.
On the left is the before, unfiltered version and on the right is the after version.
Some new toys arrived for a test drive yesterday! The blue box is what my wife is calling a Don Cornflower. It's a clone of the famed Klon Centaur but by fellow Flickr-ite thetonyballs .
I'd always wondered about Klon but didn't want to spend $300+ to try one out. It's a wonderful beast and I'm starting to fully understand what the hype is all about, this thing is pretty damn rich in harmonics. The brown pedal on the right is a custom tremolo tuned to go extra slow. It also has a volume knob that is capable of sonic boom level boosts! Hell's yeah.......
