I was just playing with a clever way to present my resume in After Effects so I thought I would share.
The above image was taken on Monday 18th Nov 2013 during a KT Tunstall concert at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.
For more information about KT Tunstall see her site:
For some of these images I have also reprocessed them using Googles Nik Silver Effects Pro and I wasn’t sure which version of the image I preferred so I uploaded both, I would really appreciate any feedback from the Flickr community as to which ones you prefer. Thanks!
A possible sermon teaser sample video I created that could be used for a Christmas sermon or a series on the birth and life of Jesus.
Update: I only had two people to work with including myself and my fiance, otherwise I would of had a different person for each segment in the video. Work with what you got I guess.
I cut the video together with Premier Pro, and all of the text, gradient background, music, animations, and misc video effects were finished off in After Effects.

Turkana, in northern Kenya, has been hit by a massive drought for over a year, triggered and worsened by the effects of El Nino. Under a program called Kenya Resilient Arid Lands Partnership for Integrated Development (Kenya-RAPID), funded by USAID and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), CRS is the lead NGO in Isiolo and Turkana Counties working working with Catholic Church dioceses to support the County governments as they develop their capacities to sustainably tap and exploit precious water reserves in Kenya's Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, or ASALs. Substantial water supplies lie below ground, so using them responsibly and maintaining them at the County level (as part of Kenya's devolution under the new Constitution of 2010) is key to the economic development of these traditionally marginalized lands. In the ASALs, crop farming is possible only along riverbeds and/or with irrigation, so livestock is a mainstay of the economy. Ensuring access to water for livestock and people is a major pillar of the program.
The work is being carried out by dozens of NGO and private sector partners, under the coordination of the Millennium Water Alliance in Washington, D.C.
CRS recently repaired this community's borehole in Lolupe, a remote village several hours outside of the Turkana County seat, Lodwar. When it broke down, the whole village had to move five hours away, to live along a riverbed that hadn't dried up. Some people didn't make the five-hour walk. "We lost three elderly women, who were too old to survive the walk," said the Lolupe village elder, Namoru Lokeno Kokoi, who was about 60.
On this day, technicians from the Diocese of Lodwar and the Lodwar Water and Sanitation Company (LOWASCO) were busy building out a water trough for a separate drinking area for the animals. Normally, people would just pump the water out onto the ground for the animals to drink, but then it just seeps back into the soil and much is wasted. Now there will be a concrete retaining trough for the water. This emergency drought response work is funded by CRS private funds (HRD).

Went out on a woodland walk and saw the sun shining through this leaf.
In light room i just got the balance of light and tones i thought would look good.
Again pretty much same steps as (A,B) however this time i used a texture layer of long grasses that i shot today. I quite like the texture as it almost feels like rain
Some new toys arrived for a test drive yesterday! The blue box is what my wife is calling a Don Cornflower. It's a clone of the famed Klon Centaur but by fellow Flickr-ite thetonyballs .
I'd always wondered about Klon but didn't want to spend $300+ to try one out. It's a wonderful beast and I'm starting to fully understand what the hype is all about, this thing is pretty damn rich in harmonics. The brown pedal on the right is a custom tremolo tuned to go extra slow. It also has a volume knob that is capable of sonic boom level boosts! Hell's yeah.......
