El Museo del Barrio invited educators to see the newly renovated facilities, including two exceptional inaugural exhibitions: VOCES Y VISIONES: Four decades through El Museo del Barrio's Permanent Collection, and NEXUS NEW YORK: Latin/American Artists in the Modern Metropolis in Manhattan Nov. 12, 2009. The educators enjoyed delicious hors d?oeuvres, sangria, met the education staff and learned about the rich cultural resources El Museo has to offer through our new and exciting Education and Public programs.( Carucha L. Educators/Educated: Jewelry & Metals in Ohio focuses on the rich legacy of metals programs at Ohio’s colleges and universities. Exceptional programs in jewelry and metalsmith are recognized in the exhibition of more than 70 artists. Educators and alumni from the University of Akron, Bowling Green State University, Cleveland Institute of Art, Kent State University, Miami University of Ohio and Ohio Wesleyan University are represented in the exhibition through a variety of media and a range of experience and personal imagination.
