Deboxing the 2015 LE Elsa Doll. First the front cardboard lid is removed, revealing a clear plastic window underneath. Then the plastic window and rear cardboard lid are removed, leaving the doll attached to a free standing cardboard backing. The Certificate of Authenticity is removed from below the backing.
The Limited Edition Elsa Doll, released in stores in North America on March 3, 2015. My doll is #2942 of 5000. She is in jeweled purple felt (made from faux wool). This is the outfit she wore as an 18 year old when saying good bye to her parents before their overseas journey. She is wearing ice blue jeweled satin gloves, which help repress her ice powers. Her hands are clasped together. Her pose and look are that of a sternly repressed nature. She is standing in front a purple window of the Castle, which is closed, as she is closed to the outside world.
She is wearing black flats with floral decoration. Her jacket is pinned to her dress, which I left alone, as it helps to keep the jacket from opening up. There was a large amount of tissue paper stuffing under her skirt. I had to remove her from the doll stand before I could remove the tissue.
She has shiny pearlescent skin, and her skin tone is between that of Coronation Elsa and Snow Queen Elsa. Her hair is slicked down in the front and is in a bun in the back. There is gold tinsel in her hair, even in her side burns.

It's been a while since I last uploaded photos, which is because I was focusing on my first semester of college. But now, just as Spring semester is beginning and I finally fixed up my camera, I have found time to take some pictures of the dolls that I purchased during last Fall's doll season! I know a lot of them look similar, but I just had so much fun taking them that I didn't care to pick my most favorites and decided just to upload most of them.
Anyway, hopefully I will be less-inactive this semester, but it felt nice to take some pictures again!
I must say that when I first saw Aladdin, I figured I would pass on him and go for the Frozen Fever dolls. But when I saw him in-store, I couldn't resist and had to have him to go along with my Jasmine. I'm really not disappointed, (especially since my brother ended up buying the FF dolls, so I can admire his!) Al really looks so great in person, and he goes so well with Jasmine!
Maybe it's that cold wind but it seems winter is not quite done if the temperatures are anything to go by. It is orobably not really cold enough to wrap up this well in the house though but at the moment when I have a few spare minutes at random I pick a photo from the files to prepare in Adobe. I think you might like this one though as the patent-leather short skirt goes really well with the thick jumper and black boots. I do wear the jumper when it's less cold too as it feels rather super with nothing on underneath.

Les Chats Sauvages (The Wild Cats) was a French rock and roll band, that was formed in 1961. Together with Les Chaussettes Noires, they were among the first outfits to perform rock and roll music in France. Les Chats Sauvages was originally composed of Dick Rivers (Hervé Forners) on vocals, John Rob (Jean-Claude Roboly) on guitar, James Fawler (Gérard Roboly) on guitar, Jack View (Gérard Jaquemus) on bass, and Willy Lewis (Wiliam Taïeb) on drums. In 1961, their concert at the Palais des Sports de Paris, whilst headlining with Vince Taylor, reportedly turned ito a full-scale riot. The departure of Rivers in the summer of 1962, who was replaced by Mike Shannon, affected the band's popularity, which nevertheless continued its career. Les Chats Sauvages broke up in 1964, before briefly reappearing twice, including an album release in 1982 with Dick Rivers, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their formation.
A couple new editions to my fleet, A pair of Athearn Oakways SD60s, Atlas BNSF GP38-2s, and BLI BN SD9's looks pretty good together. They will need a little bit of work, but overall, I am pretty happy with them. Also pictured in the background is my P2K SW1200 letter for my regional railroad "Northern Illinois Rail Network.

Deboxing LE Elena. All covers are removed, leaving her on the cardboard backing, which is free standing.
I got the Elena of Avalor LE 17 inch Doll from my local Disney Store on the release day, Tuesday November 21, 2017. I went to my store at 11:30 am, instead of my usual line up before the store opens for LE doll releases. There were three of the doll behind the counter, but placed sideways and with no promo placard. So it wasn't obvious that there was a Limited Edition doll release today. The CM I bought the doll from didn't seem to know anything about the release, so I don't know how many dolls the store got in, how many they sold, or how many were remaining. I took the first doll that was handed to me, since the doll looked perfect to me. She is #1375 of 6000.

The World Health Organization estimates that over 800,000 people die by suicide each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. In Australia more than 2500 people die each year with latest figures (2015) telling us that 3,027 Australians took their own life. This World Suicide Prevention Day we’d like to take a minute to change lives with as many suicide prevention awareness raising events as possible being held in Australia on or around World Suicide Prevention Day.
Today I attended an afternoon tea sponsored by Roses in the Ocean. This is one of the table centerpieces. “Roses in the Ocean” was born when a young Australian chose to end his life on August 31st 2008. A young man of 43, ex RAAF Fighter Pilot Combat Instructor and International Commercial Pilot, highly respected, and loved by many.
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ROSE AND THE OCEAN
Roses are a beautiful, dignified flower, yet their thorns add complexity, requiring handling with care. They are symbolic of our deepest emotions: love, friendship, sorrow, hope.
The ocean, with its waves crashing upon the shore, and calmer waters out deep, provided a symbolic platform of the turbulence felt by people who are coping with a difficult stage in their life, and indeed for some, coping with suicidal thoughts.
'Take a Minute, Change a Life’ is the theme of the 2017 World Suicide Prevention Day. It is about taking a minute to have those conversations when you notice something has changed and equipping yourself to help yourself and others. 👠⌚🌹🌹🌹🌊🌊🌊
"My heart holds you just one beat away
the tears in my soul fall quietly every day
stay close, watch over me, from so many stars apart
roses in the ocean, you forever in my heart.”
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment and fave my picture. Thanks for your support.
The Limited Edition Ariel and Eric Doll Set, #12 of 6000, in their display case, with the clear acrylic cover removed. None of the factory restraints have been removed, but I have cleaned up Ariel's face a bit, and cut off a loose thread from her blouse. Photographed using built-in camera flash.
My pre-ordered Ariel and Eric Doll Set, from the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection. It arrived on October 15, 2013, and I was thrilled to see that they are numbered #012 of 6000! It matches the number of the other doll sets in the pre-order, except that Snow White and the Prince is #4508 of 6000. There are some slight scratches on the gold nameplate and on the acrylic cover of the display case, but they are very minor, and don't diminish the look of the set. Ariel's head is posed a bit awkwardly, but I'll see if I can adjust it a bit without undoing any of the shipping restraints. There is also a loose thread hanging from the left sleeve of Ariel's blouse. Otherwise, Ariel and Eric look very beautiful, and in perfect shape. I'm so happy that I have them after failing to get them in the in-store raffle earlier in the day.
I'm not going to debox the dolls in this set, but I am going to take photos of it boxed, with the cover sleeve off, and with the clear acrylic cover off, to show off the dolls as much as possible without actually removing them from their factory restraints.
