Palazzo Edison sorse nel 1892 su progetto dell'architetto Enrico Combi per conto della Società delle Strade Ferrate del Mediterraneo. Nel 1923 T.A.Edison acquistò l'edificio e vi strasferì la sua sede.

All'interno del palazzo si trovano 2 bellissime vetrate a cupola, busti, lampadari, bassorilievi, balaustre, fregi, decorazioni, una fontana di marmo con incisi i versi della laude di S.Francesco, l'impianto di posta pneumatica e la dinamo ,costruita negli Stati Uniti, usata nel 1892 per compiere il primo esperimento di illuminazione elettrica a Milano, di cui giovò il Teatro alla Scala

"Q" and "I" are survivals from the 19th century when the terms "Quantity" and "Intensity" were in general use, approximating to Current and Voltage.

The detector is provided with two coil windings with resistances of 0.2 ohms ("Quantity") and 100 ohms ("Intensity").

Used for making qualitative assessments of circuit characteristics and battery condition.

Edison caustic soda batteries, just founds these today, from what I can tell they were use primarily for telegraph. This is a old bank in new england that we're doing some work in. Was originally a police station I believe.
