Edison's work desk is in the foreground on the left. The desk with the typewriter was also his. On the far side of the desk was a cot. Edison would occasionally stretch out on it and take a nap while the work in his office went on around him.
…made with a gutter I found, replete with moss and dangerous nails! Just wired up a socket—the ceramic fits right in the existing metal drain. :D

Found these early 1900's Edison Cylinder records while helping the in-laws clean their garage. What a cool treasure and most are well preserved. It would be fun to hear them played once again.

He's a six month old Boston Terrier, Spaniel mix. Very playful, but totally spoiled.
