Some lovely light on Stanage this evening, just a shame the hurricane force winds spoiled the experience.
After being out on the Tiger in the morning, I was able to go climbing with Peter & Steph in the afternoon!
I am teaching these two to climb, (both have done some before). They are now both leading indoors and when the weather improves I'll be getting them leading outside!

Like most of you, December is a bit of a hectic month for me so hopefully I will get to see all of your images as quick as I can. In the meantime, I will thank you now in advance for having a peak at my images here.

As our ride left us on the road, beside the hotel Darbar. We were left with the wonderful view off course with nice wet weather. Raindrops falling around on the soil, perfumes of apricot orchids nearby. We did not have an idea what to do now. As we start our walk toward the towering building, Baltit Fort which hold its commanding position over the central valley one of the Hunzakut coming our way gave us a smile, making us comfortable to ask some stupid questions.
With all other questions like local cuisine none of names we even understood at that time, he also pointed us toward one longs strip high over the mountain, above Baltit Fort, which in his opinion is a wonderful day exertion.
After all our planned traveling has been done in upper Hunza Valley, we were still left with one day, which we dedicate to Central Hunza, more or less to Karimabad and Duikar Valley. And the words from that nice person came back to us.
After having a breakfast, we left for our day long hike to place where less tourist wander but has a wonderful views of the entire valley from a very different perspective. Walking over a foot wide wall of the water channel one is immensely possessed by the higher spirits of the mighty mountains of Batura Maztang at one side and Nagar on the other. The only place to give you totally out of world experience and adventure.
The picture above is one that was taken over the edge on the way to that water channel, as gusts of winds were blowing and air was so wet and cool that it brings a chill in the spine. With the wide views of many miles spread before the eyes and the endless play of hide n seek of lofty mountain peaks with mist and clouds.

I've still got a few more of the fantastic sunset of last weekend, but thought I'd give you a break form them for the moment.
This is one from yesterday afternoon up on Stanage Edge. I raced up to the top (well, I say raced.....), shot off about 7 shots before the sun disappeared behind the clouds,never to return!
A great morning - backlit mist rolled in and out over Curbar Edge.
