International Rectifier (IR), a world leader in power management technology, recently relocated its manufacturing facility to North San Jose from Santa Clara. The San Jose Redevelopment Agency assisted International Rectifier with finding the company’s new 35,000-square-foot building. International Rectifier currently employs approximately 100 employees at the San Jose facility and
4,000 worldwide.
Since 1977, the San Jose Redevelopment Agency has invested $174 million in
infrastructure improvements in the Innovation Triangle, also known as Rincon de los Esteros including Route 87 improvements; flood control; the Brokaw Road – U.S. 101 undercrossing, and Tasman Bridges. The Innovation Triangle consists of more than 4,600 acres and is home to 1,400 national and international companies employing 60,000 people. www.sjredevelopment.org
