July 12, 2017- Ithaca, NY- Governor Cuomo signs legislation and announced new actions to support the emerging industrial hemp industry and boost the agricultural economy in New York State.
British manufacturer Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has selected Mocksville, North Carolina as the site for its first retreading facility in the United States.
The company, the world’s only specialist aircraft tire manufacturer and retreader, will use the Mocksville location to boost its competitiveness across the Americas, particularly on popular narrow and wide-bodied jet airliners and military aircraft.

On a field visit of Heifer Peru and IICD, farmer Freddy shares some of the challenges he encounters and his next plans. These can be shared with other farmers in the future via multimedia. This is supported by Heifer Peru and IICD.
AKHMETA. September 2011 - Roin Terterashvili, farmer, sees better prospects for his small cow farm with a new milk processing plant opened in his mountainous region. Roin is getting more cows and plans to open a milk collecting facility that will serve small farmers from the nearby villages.
Roin’s home village is in Pankisi – a mountainous region in north-east Georgia. High level of rural poverty and unemployment makes this agriculture area one of the poorest in Georgia.
UNDP works in the region since 2010 to create more economic and social opportunities for local residents.
