So the Anthem theme is so good this round and I am bringing you two items that are currently there (I want all the things for my fancy French dreams even if the cake I get to eat is Twinkies).

First the Versailles Platforms and Socks from Apika. Different colors and textures, sheer and solid sock options. These are so beautiful, high fashion, camp, vintage and modern. After the event get at the Mainstore.

This was taken at Semina Sim which is so lovely.

Had a super fabulous weekend. Got to play hostess to the lovely Mireille from Pittsburgh and we ended a long day of exploring at the Cut. It's awesome to be able to show outsiders the city. Hope you make it back soon, Mireille!

eat your f**ing vegetables!

Seagulls settle down for the night at Praia Dos Tres Castelos, Algarve, Portugal.

The Algarve is famous for its great weather, perfect beaches and wonderful food. Definitely worth a trip in winter, when the beaches are pristine and the clean air sunrise and sunsets are a joy to shoot with. This minimal long exposure is all about capturing a sublime sunset when rocks turn into hungry monsters...

Thanks for your visit and support. Let me know what you think...

Flammulina filiformis, so I am informed (Wikipedia). A regular growth on a dead horse chestnut at the back of the garden.

Thanks for looking..

Ground squirrel in South Africa

More of the coots in our pond. There's a family with four babies. One of the parents has got a broken leg, no idea what I can do about it.

There's also a family with two babies on the other side of the pond. Coots are supposed to be not very nice to each other so maybe the families got into the fight and that is how one of the coots got injured.

This was inspired a picture by Chris Rycroft (see the first comment). When he posted it, and I realized it was in NW Indiana, I knew I had to photograph it myself. Alas, we were there during the day, so the sign wasn't lit. AND, I wanted to do something different, so I monochromized it and shot from a different angle.

And yes, I will go some distance to photograph an EAT sign.

It's a chain. But it still qualifies. And there are at least three pictures from this restaurant chain in the EAT Sign group. Maybe we should get them to sponsor the group to show their support for EAT signs. 😜

And in the next picture you can see your pal taking this picture. Weird, I know. But the public's right to know demands it.
