I lost sight of this red-tailed hawk and then walked off the trail looking up at the trees til I saw him chowing down and in no rush to fly off.
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and this week I wasn’t able to take a picture for the awesome Looking close on Friday group. But don’t you worry, I will be back next week for sure.
Yesterday I underwent a medical exam at the hospital. I was super scared since I’m a hypochondriac and I’m truly one of the worst patient you can have. I don’t respond well to stress… My exam had a week long preparation, with a very strict diet (so no Nutella or gin and tonic… or even eggs) and the last day there is no eating or drinking anything. There is no need to say that I barely slept during the last week… And being a very superstitious person, I was seeing « bad premonitions » everywhere. On the day of my exam, my stress level was super high… I almost escape from the hospital in my hospital’s gown, tiny hospital hat and those blue socks cover they give you. Luckily for me, the escape project was aborted since it was super cold (-20) and super icy outside. The good news is: my exam took place on schedule and the results are awesome: everything is normal. If you aren’t a hypochondriac, you will never know how this kind of results can give you wings and a new life !
Since I was sedated, today I feel a little bit like the egg in my picture. But dont you worry, after few hours of sleep, a huge pot of Nutella and some eggs for breakfast, I will be back to normal in no time.
Who else knows the song « I Wanna Be Sedated » by Ramones ?

Wikipedia: The crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis), also known as the long-tailed macaque and referred to as the cynomolgus monkey in laboratories, is a cercopithecine primate native to Southeast Asia. A species of macaque, the crab-eating macaque has a long history alongside humans; it has been alternately seen as an agricultural pest, sacred animal in some temples, and more recently, the subject of medical experiments.

Not my best shot, but I thought it still looked cool. Far shot, big crop and heat distortion played a big roll later in the day at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.

Brown Thrasher Toxostoma rufum ( I Think) correct me if I'm wrong ???? He / She was on my bird feeder this morning in St Augustine, Florida. Beautiful bird
Looks like this fish will make a nice snack for this snowy egret. It's a bird-eat-fish world out there
Eating popcorn I put out there. All it needs is a movie to watch while it eats popcorn.
Have a wonderful day.
It was interesting to watch this little flock of Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) walking across this field eating all the new green grass!
This White-throated Sparrow appeared to be eating a leaf. Hopefully there was an insect on the leaf for a meat course.

Taken Addo Elephant National Park, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
Addo Elephant National Park is a diverse wildlife conservation park situated close to Port Elizabeth in South Africa and is one of the country's 20 national parks. It currently ranks third in size after Kruger National Park and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. I spent four consecutive days within the park which provided an amazing variety of wildlife.

This great egret, having snagged a fish from Pond 5, manipulated it with his built in chop sticks until he could swallow the fish head-first. It wouldn't do to have the fish swim out its beak instead of down the gullet.
Our backyard setup while camping at Myakka River State Park. We enjoyed a few meals out while staying in the cabin.
Happy Bench Monday!
