what are you saying? that you want
eternal life? are your thoughts really
as compelling as all that? certainly
you don't look at us, don't listen to us,
on your skin
stain of sun, dust
of yellow buttercups: i'm talking
to you, you staring through
bars of high grass shaking
your little rattle - o
the soul! the soul! is it enough
only to look inward? contempt
for humanity is one thing, but why
disdain the expansive
field, your gaze rising over the clear heads
of the wild buttercups into what? your poor
idea of heaven: absence
of change. better than earth? how
would you know, who are neither
here nor there, standing in our midst?

His earthly body may have passed the threat but his shadow is going to be hit. I think his body language anticipates that in some kind of a subconscious way.
I remember having had quite a few disappointments in walking around blindly trying to find the heard of deer in Richmond Park before finding out what were their favourite spots, but finding them bathing into the sparkling waters this wonderful spring day made up for all of the previous muscle aches.😅 The little baby deers playfully running around, the entranced children looking at them in awe, the shimmering drops jumping up and down with each move, the magical greens of the leaves and grasses, the charming yellow of the wildflowers, those ineffable feelings of freshness and peacefulness so difficult to experience in the midst of the bustling city. Precious memories of an enchanting spring day that I have finally decided to share in the hope that my clumsy shots have captured at least a little drop of that magic.
There are three requisitions to the proper enjoyment of earthly blessings:
a thankful reflection on the goodness of the Giver,
a deep sense of our unworthiness,
a recollection of the uncertainty of long possessing them.
The first would make us grateful them.
The second would make us humble them.
The third would make us moderate.

This tree was a large piece of driftwood that some adventurous and romantic souls replanted on this shoreline. The decorations of course are natural and I know that the string had probably washed ashore, also. A Nor'easter was in progress when I took these photos. And I am sure that the tree and decorations were returned to shore by the storm tide. I actually loved finding this ti on every visit.
I have named this the "BeachtafestTree" in the spirit of celebration of spring and giving a nod to "Festivus" which started with the Seineld TV show in 1997...
This tree is way prettier than the Festivus version, btw...lol
The tire tracks are probably from a State Park service truck. Public Vehicles are prohibited here. The tracks are very uncommon out here.
Description in the French Language:
Cet arbre était un gros morceau de bois flotté que certaines âmes aventureuses et romantiques replantés sur ce rivage. Les décorations sont bien sûr naturel et je sais que la chaîne avait probablement lavé à terre, aussi. Un Nor'easter était en cours quand je pris ces photos. Et je suis sûr que l'arbre et les décorations ont été retournés au rivage par la marée de tempête. En fait, j'aimé trouver ce ti à chaque visite.

It was a lot of fun taking the Sony camera and 16/35 lens into Shenandoah Caverns. Had not been back there in many years and a fun stop on this recent trip to Virginia.
I try to carefully choose the exact timing I would go out fully equipped for an organized photo-shooting session ... I'm not particularly fond of clear skies so my best advisor is the weather forecast webpage ... I seek cloudy, low light ambient environmental conditions and it's hardly a secret anymore that I try to process my photos using low-key processing profile ...

Hidden danger in earthly beauty
makes us simply aware of our duty
to keep our values true above
to teach and live examples of love
so don't fooled and become a tool
of words and deeds covered in sweets
when the filling is biter and the offerings rotten meats
remember what the wise man said; " use your head."
The Lord completes His earthly journey to Jerusalem - to His Crucifixion and Resurrection, with two great events: the resurrection of Lazarus and the triumphal entry into Jerusalem. On the eve of entering Jerusalem, the sisters of Lazarus gave Jesus and His disciples a thanksgiving dinner. During the feast, Mary took a bottle of precious myrrh, anointed Jesus' feet and wiped them with her hair as a sign of love and gratitude for her brother's return.

In crowded markets and quiet alleyways, they walk unnoticed—gods cloaked in the guise of men. Their divine eyes, dulled by choice, scan the world with a weariness born of eternity. They laugh, bleed, and love as mortals do, choosing humility over worship. The heavens miss them, whispering their true names in the wind. Yet they remain, not out of exile, but purpose—guarding the world in silence. For sometimes, the greatest power lies not in thrones, but in walking beside us unseen.
Sunsets are a reminder to us that nothing really matters - earthly thoughts dissolve when we gaze upon these celestial masterpieces.

The Garden of Earthly Delights
Walker´s obsession with 15th century Netherlandish Master, Hieronymus Bosch, led him to create his own take on his famous paiting the Garden of Earthly Delights. Together with set designer, Shona Heath, the photographer recreated the key elements from a Boschian world. The shoot, which took place over five days at Eglingham Hall in Northumberland, produced a series of sensational, symbolic and highly sensory photographs, filled with exquisitely sensual characters and objects, and deeply striking mise-en-scène.
Tim Walker´s work will be on view at the Noordbrabants Museum in the Netherlands as part of the exhibition: Tim Walker: The Garden of Earthly Delights, Bosch through the eyes of a fashion photographer (November 4 - February 25, 2018)

Finally found a bit of time to get back to processing a few photos taken back in May on the Focus Great Ocean Road trip. Ventured down the Gibson Stairs to Gog and Magog at sunrise on a cloudless morning. Definately going to return here again!

“COVID Vaccines May Reduce Women’s Lifelong Egg Supply, Rat Study Suggests”
“Turkish researchers said the results of their study justify ‘further investigations into the vaccines’ effects on human ovarian reserve.’ Experts said the study’s findings have ‘profound’ implications for global fertility rates.”
childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/covid-vaccines-reduce...
“’This is not unexpected — the lipid nanoparticles encapsulating the mRNA have a particular preference for the ovaries, according to animal biodistribution studies. Once inside, the mRNA instructs the ovaries to produce toxic Spike protein, leading to tissue damage and infertility,’ Hulscher said.”
“Aside from the decline in ovarian follicles measured in the Turkish study, the results also showed other negative reproductive health outcomes in the vaccinated groups.
“One such outcome was a decline in Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) — which is representative of ovarian reserve, or the quantity of oocytes in the ovary. Lower levels of AMH are “associated with poor fertility outcomes and earlier menopause,” Hulscher wrote.”
“It’s been known since 2017 that lipid nanoparticles damage reproduction in men and women.”
“A preprint published by six Czech, Danish and Swedish researchers last month that examined approximately 1.3 million Czech women ages 18-39 found that those who had received COVID-19 vaccines had approximately 33% fewer successful pregnancies compared to unvaccinated women.
“The total fertility rate in the Czech Republic declined by 21% during the period studied.”
“A study published in Molecular Therapy Nucleic Acids in March found that mRNA crosses the placenta within one hour, leading to the development of spike protein that remains in fetal tissues after birth. A study published last month in BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth found a higher miscarriage rate among COVID-vaccinated women.”
Looking along the Earthly way
At the start of an another day
Through the blades that do rise
Reaching up to touch the skies
Along the path, so wild and long
Filled with the beauty of the song
Of the choir of feathered calls
As the mask of night now falls
To reveal before all eyes
The wonder of the waking skies
That herald the start of another day
As you look upon the Earthly way

"The earthly desires of men are shadows. There is no true happiness in fulfilling them. Why. then, do we continue to pursue joys without substance? Because the pursuit itself has become our only substitute for joy. Unable to rest in anything we achieve, we determine to forget our discontent in a ceaseless quest for new satisfactions. In this pursuit, desire itself becomes our chief satisfaction."
-Thomas Merton, The Ascent To Truth, page 21.
Another look at some Angel's wing mushrooms on a log in the Headwaters Wilderness. The sun was coming in through a bit of the canopy and just lit them perfectly. This is a 19 image stack.
The Nivolet plateau is notoriously famous for being an earthly paradise. Indeed a paradise both in name (it is included in the Gran Paradiso National Park) and in fact, being a location that once visited indelibly holds a place in everyone's heart.
In summer the area is quite accessible, also because it is well served by a road which, starting from the 1,580 meters of Ceresole Reale, climbs up for 18 km till to Colle del Nivolet, at 2,612 metres of altitude, on the watershed between the Valle dell'Orco and Valsavarenche.
Needless to say, however, that the real magic occurs when the entire panorama is still in the grip of ice and snow, which greatly complicates the access to the alpine lakes, but undoubtedly allows to enjoy a rarer and more pristine sight.
Photo taken at sunset on the shores of Lake Rosset (2,701 meters).
Respectively from left to right it is possible to admire: Gran Paradiso, Tresenta, Ciarforon, Becca del Monciair, Denti del Broglio and Grand Etret.
