Getting eye-level with your subject takes your images to a whole new level. Besides creating better depth of field and bokeh, it puts you in the same perspective of the bird, ultimately bringing the viewer closer into the world of the bird.

A pair of giraffes stand tall amidst the golden grasses and acacia trees of Moremi National Park in Botswana. Their elegant silhouettes reflect the timeless beauty of Africa’s wilderness, where the tallest land mammals roam freely under open skies.

A short hike off the highway through Custer State Park. This was my first time in the park and I found it to be a beautiful park.

With fog predictions from the Met office all weekend I decided to head down to the Peak District to capture some late autumnal images. Woodland isn’t really my bag but just lately I’ve been immersing myself in forests and sticking it out. The colours, even now, are still so vibrant in places and the fog yesterday helped with photographing this scene at Padley Gorge.

Let me know your thoughts below, thanks for looking!

The mesmerizing dunes of Sossusvlei rise like golden waves in the Namib Desert, their shadows creating striking contrasts against the deep blue sky. Among them, resilient trees stand as a testament to nature’s endurance in one of the world’s oldest and most arid landscapes.

A majestic herd of African elephants gathers protectively around their young in Etosha National Park, Namibia. Their close bonds and silent communication reflect the incredible social structure of these gentle giants

As the golden sun bathes the Namibian savanna, a trio of rhinos moves gracefully through the tall grass. These powerful yet gentle giants embody the untamed spirit of Africa, a testament to nature’s resilience and beauty. A breathtaking moment of wildlife captured in its purest form.

„There are only approx. 20k polar bears in the wild, by today. Trend pointing downwards. Almost approx. 300 live in captivity. The repro-duction in such environ-ments is quite a very demanding thing and many animals do not get old. Very rare to see a baby bear alive as I did together with my son in Karlsruhe Zoo.“ - Max

The Montezuma Oropendola (Psarocolius montezuma) is a New World tropical icterid bird. It is a resident breeder in the Caribbean coastal lowlands from southeastern Mexico to central Panama, but is absent from El Salvador and southern Guatemala. It also occurs on the Pacific slope of Nicaragua and Honduras and northwestern and southwestern Costa Rica. It is among the oropendola species sometimes separated in the genus Gymnostinops. The English and scientific names of this species commemorate the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II.

A young elephant joyfully walks among its protective herd in the wilds of Namibia. This touching moment captures the strong familial bonds and natural beauty of African elephants in their habitat.

A true master of disguise! The rare brown vine snake that is so well hidden that it looks like a tree branch.
