Little Terns (Adult pairing) - Terns are my favourite species of bird, especially the Little Tern. I have enjoyed catching up with them over the last 15 years and so I missed my Tern 'fix' last year, it was wonderful to see them again. I even had my own nickname for the Little Tern, 'Chatterbox' as the female and male seem to be in constant communication with each other should he be fishing for his mate close by, as did happen on this occassion. Whilst he was further afield another pair flew past, just above our female and it was as if they also communicated with her, and she appeared to acknowledge them them as they passed right above her - they are truly remarkable.

A lone traveler in the vernal pool.

Wood frogs emerge for only a few short days each spring, filling quiet forest pools with life before disappearing back into the leaf litter.

This single swimmer slipped past me between the chaos of breeding calls.

Pennsylvania spring is officially underway.

Active pollinators: Bees! Every spring pollination starts after a long rest in the insects life cycle. One of the most important pollinators are bees. Some of the bees species started to extinct because of the climate change, harmful pesticides and other factors,... After a long confinement in 2020 in Czech Republic, people's activities was reduced and bees, especially bumblebees were sees incredibly often!

True that Covid changed the life of most people toward negative, but having this Covid situation was beneficial for animal kingdom!

Hersilia is a genus in the Hersiliidae family. They are sometimes known as long-spinnered bark spiders or two-tailed spiders, due to their greatly enlarged spinnerets.

Males grow up to 8 mm long, and females up to 10 mm. They can be found on tree trunks in gardens or jungle fringes in Africa, Asia and Australasia. Nikon D750 , Tamaron 90MM, Raynox DCR250

Harmonia axyridis is a lady beetle or ladybird species that is most commonly known as the harlequin, Asian, or multicoloured Asian lady beetle. This is one of the most variable lady beetle species in the world, with an exceptionally wide range of colour forms. It is native to eastern Asia, and has been artificially introduced to North America and Europe to control aphids and scale insects. It is now common, well known, and spreading in those regions, and has also established in Africa and widely across South America.

A crane fly, also known as a mosquito eater, or a mosquito hawk, is a member of the dipteran superfamily Tipuloidea, which contains the living families Cylindrotomidae, Limoniidae, Pediciidae and Tipulidae, as well as several extinct families. "Winter crane flies", members of the family Trichoceridae, are sufficiently different from the typical crane flies of Tipuloidea to be excluded from the superfamily Tipuloidea, and are placed as their sister group within Tipulomorpha. Two other families of flies, the phantom crane flies (Ptychopteridae) and primitive crane flies (Tanyderidae), have similar common names due to their similar appearance, but they are not closely related to true crane flies.

The Spur-winged Lapwing or Spur-winged Plover (Vanellus spinosus) is a lapwing species, one of a group of largish waders in the family Charadriidae. Native to North Africa, the Middle East & Mediterranean regions; it has never been sighted in the sub-continent. It breeds around the eastern Mediterranean, and in a wide band from sub-Saharan west Africa to Arabia. The Greek and Turkish breeders are migratory, but other populations are resident. The species is declining in its northern range, but is abundant in much of tropical Africa, being seen at almost any wetland habitat in its range. The Spur-winged Lapwing is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds applies.

A passerine bird native to South & SE Asia inhabiting shrubland, grassland and wetland habitats. An odd-looking babbler which looks and behaves like a prinia on steroids. Brown above and white below with rufous wingtips with a unique red eyering. Scrambles about in reed beds, scrub, field edges, and grassy meadows in small flocks and pairs. Scales stems like a parrotbill and hangs acrobatically like a tit or leaf warbler. Strident, melodic song has a somewhat hoarse, nasal quality. Calls include repeated descending whistles, energetic chattering, and dry chittering.
