Woke up to heavy snowing this morning and then it's snowed most of the day. This is the view from an upstairs window. This is not a mono-shot just grey like it has been for days. Last time we had a sunny day was on the 7th of Jan.

Our Christmas decorations are still in their paper bag. I suppose I ought to get them out of it and start decorating the apartment, or bookshelf in our case. Can't have that many things out as Izzy loves playing with them. 😏

Each snowflake is unique, but every angle reveals something new. Just like life—how you see it depends on where you’re standing.
While out for a shortish walk this morning I went past the 5* hotel and liked how they'd shaped the trees.

31st October 2020:
Once it started to get light this morning I noticed that the sky was turning pink, so I got my camera and waited awhile as it turned a richer colour. This was about as good as it got before the rain clouds came in.

2018 one photo each day
Each of the gate towers are 23 meters in height and served as entrances to the walled city. The massive sandstone bricks used for the construction were brought to the site via a network of hundreds of canals. This gate is perhaps the most impressive in the entire complex.
Saffron buns are traditional at this time of year, but normally made in a different shape. These ones are filled with butter sugar and vanilla, I also made some with an almond paste filling. Most are now in the freezer waiting for Christmas.

This is my neighbours cat Gerda who comes occassionally to visit. At this moment she is watching very focused my own two cats play-fighting with each other. She was so focused on those two that she did not even notice me taking pictures of her. Too lovely :-)
Last year there was not a single one of these flowers as a little mouse enjoyed the buds and then a cat enjoyed the mouse. This year there are lots of flowers in this corner of the garden.

Being careful with each other means we actively acknowledge that no two human beings have had the same life experiences or have experienced life the same way. We are the sum total of millions of moments and cell changes and just thinking about the chances that you'll meet someone you can connect with on a deeper level should feel miraculous.
But humans also become careless with each other, even in long term relationships. Humans ignore each other or assume things about each other easily. Don't be careless. Remember, you can never truly know what another person feels or thinks without opening your heart and making both time and space.
In the last few minutes of your life, it's very unlikely you'll be thinking about an amazing tweet or Instagram post. I hope each one of you is remembering what it felt like to be caressed and loved and how it felt to show this tenderness towards others in return.

I know I bought the plant last year, but had forgotten what the flowers looked like.

An out of order power consist of each of the 3 orange BNSF paint schemes leads a fast moving HDENPVO manifest around the broad curve at Dell. The small cluster of aspen trees were close to peak, but not quite there when we were in the area, and this was the norm with the aspens when we were out there.
We do not have to go on a world voyage to explore the world. Each field is a universe waiting to be explored.
Shall I sew them to my bonnet?
They are flat, about an inch across (each) but the photo makes them look three-dimensional.
the sea was hazy and as the sun set, the haze formed a reddish halo around the setting globe, as boats, big and small witness it all!
i will not be able to comment much tonight as i need to deal with an urgent matter, but will catch up soon my friends!
28th June 2017:
Felt as though I was getting a sore throat last night and knew I was this morning - ouch. With paracetamol and throat lozenges at hand I got as far as this garden to take something for today.
Luckily for me it rained most of the night and part of today, but the sun came out and made the raindrops sparkle.
I wasn't going to try for a closer photo, hadn't got the energy, but for what it's worth it's SOOC.
