Debating on if I should go into this abandoned well...is Pennywise down there and will I ever come back out?
Here you find images of the urban paranoia ...aka the metropolis of Sheffield, that are of nature based in inner-city landscapes with the out of the place bucolic landscapes along with empty abandoned buildings. most people ignore them as they are not something that bothers them. however some people don't ignore them and they are called urban explorers. i have been exploring the urban metropolis of Sheffield most of my life but have only recently (from 2000) started to take a camera with me, also sometimes you will find images of people and gigs
Urban exploration, urbex or UE, is the examination of the normally unseen or off-limits parts of human civilization. Urban exploration is also commonly referred to as Infiltration, although some people consider Infiltration to be more closely associated with the exploration of active or inhabited sites. In the USA, it may also be referred to as reality hacking, "urban spelunking", and "urban caving."
A Japanese Spider Chrysanthemum, again; a different type.
The name "chrysanthemum" is derived from the Greek words chrysos (gold) and anthemon (flower)
Chrysanthemums, sometimes called mums or chrysanths, are flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae.
They are native to Asia and northeastern Europe. Most species originate from East Asia and the center of diversity is in China.
Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC.
The flower was brought to the Western World in the 17th century. There are about 40 valid species and countless horticultural varieties and cultivars.
For many years, chrysanthemum signifies praise and admiration. A chrysanthemum is considered as a noble flower of the Chinese noble class.
The Japanese hold this flower as the symbol of the sun.
Wishing you a day full of good light and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

A small planetary scouting party surveys the deserted plain in hopes it will make a safe site to construct their home base.
Raised out of the dust, and lifted out of the dunghill: the abandoned crematorium. Built in the early 1900's and closed down in the nineties, it served a little over 100.000 cremations.
It was without a doubt one of the most advanced crematoriums from that era, featuring multiple deck ovens, ice coolers, rotating coffin docks, lifts & rails.
When all is lost, who shall praise thee my Lord?
Did you knew that Vikings were the first Europeans in Americas?
They encounter several dangers during their voyages.
My brother-in-law took this picture years ago and recently gave it to me to edit for him. He's a field engineer at the University of Washington (UW) and goes to set up sites/equipment for the scientists doing Global Warming exploration. No matter how hard I tried, I just could not get heal or clone to remove the sun spot in Lightroom. I still liked the picture anyway.
A trip in disneyland's cemetery.
I have to say, I'm very proud of this picture :D
I've made a book on Disneyland Paris with many pictures under the snow !

after a rainfall, i love to explore. what's dropped to the ground? how does light fall on a puddle? i often find beauty in unexpected places. and i get delightfully muddy in the process.
As i finally fiinished my exams i can come back to lego. Buying a PoP and a Ben10 set really brought me some fun and interesting parts! So here is my first build of the summer : a small exploration rover hanging by a tiny research/communications outpost on a distant planet.

A glimpse inside one of the buildings of the former Hembrug munition factory.
The Hembrug area is one of the most important locations of industrial heritage in the Netherlands. The area measures 45 hectares and is a former industrial and military domain. Many buildings from the period 1895-1970 have been preserved on this enormous terrain. The industrial development of the 20th century is very visible here.
The complex lies in the heart of the Defence line of Amsterdam, a so-called 'redoubt of permanent defensive construction' around the capital. It was built between 1880 and 1920 by the former Department of War. Within the Defence line of Amsterdam, supply with weapons and ammunition was of great importance.
Redevelopment of the area is in process.
