Got to see some of my favorite people to kick of 2015!! Always love going to Georgetown with them :)
Were you satisfied with your Overwatch: Dorado Showdown set? Neither was I, so I made it better! This expansion adds a second side, an improved roof, more details taken from the game, and a trapdoor! The roof is removable for easy access, and the trapdoor opens with the pull of a pin! Check it out in greater detail, see what parts you need to build it, and get the instructions at rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-34411/veyniac/dorado-showdown-ul...

During England’s colonial expansion, advanced knowledge and thinking in areas such as Western political systems, culture, religions, education, and medicine were introduced into the colonies. The old ruling orders of the colonized countries were overturned, and the pre-existing feudal ideologies were destroyed. This laid the foundation for the colonies unknowingly embarking upon the path of constitutional democracy …

Still in Terraversa following the hostilities with Oleon, Captain Brickleton and Major Brickford go for a walk to discuss their plans to expand ETTC presence to every settlement in the Brick Seas. They stop near a barn and decide how they can bring the trade company to the settlements they govern.

It was my intention to build a cool base and try a new tree idea with this one, but the roof made of backpacks is incredibly fragile. After the 4th time the roof broke and I had to rebuild it, I decided to scrap the base idea and snap some pics before it all fell apart. I highly recommend not building a roof with backpacks.
The barn door is built using a boat prow, which was pretty fun to build
The stone wall near the minifigs is rotated 45 degrees using cut wedges, which worked better than I thought it would.

I start my senior year tomorrow, and that is all kinds of scary. I don't know how I got here, but right now skipping my freshman and sophomore year doesn't seem like a great idea, unlike the first day I moved to the states. it's strange to feel like something you always wanted is here- now, but is not what you imagined.
I wanted to capture the wonderful clouds I spotted through my window. When I got to my usual location, the sky was clear, so that was a disappointment.
I'm actually extremely proud of this one, despite its weirdness and how awkward it is to the eye. I think it portrays my current feelings to perfection.
View it large, it's 10x better

Its a beauty. It's only here after 20 years of waiting and several billion dollars overrun budget.
Emilie and I took photos today! I have a selfie too which I will upload at some point, whenever I am finished editing.

From atop the old beaver dam, now the pond's bank, the water stretches a little wider than before. Beaver heaven!
Yet another shot from the early phase of the big Northern Lts. show back on Mar. 1st ... A tiny human, possibly my wife, is visible at the bottom of the photo.

The Exxon Building (and the two other buildings west of the Avenue of the Americas) were developed by the Rockefellers in the 1960s for an expansion of Rockefeller City. They were designed by Harrison and Abramovitz.
Long exposure light art. Kalle Ylitalo is a composer and musician from Helsinki. I had the honor to do the cover art for his EXPANSION album! This shot is made in darkened room by using long exposure time and various light sources. Kalle's face was lit by using LED LENSER P7QC flashlight and the "light flower" was drawn with el wire and LED LENSER P5R.2. Usual RAW workflow in post, no layers or other digital manipulation.
Remember to check Kalle's website and order the album! www.kalleylitalo.com
I was amazed to read on the Devon County Council website earlier that from 30th October Plymouth Citybus will be running the following DDC supported routes following Stagecoach giving notice on them -
315 Barnstaple – Bideford – Torrington – Winkleigh – North Tawton – Crediton – Exeter
345 Okehampton – Hatherleigh – North Tawton – Crediton – Exeter
377 Chulmleigh – Lapford – Crediton
More expansion from the reds of Go Ahead and again today a shed load of cancelled service runs in Plymouth hmmmmmm!
Anyway back to the picture and with Summer fading into the memory banks a shot taken a few months back of little 2210 working the 54 to Bovisand.
I noticed it was carrying Tap & Cap stickers (for Cornwall) on the windows which have since been removed.
Seen fellow astrophotographer Henry Weiland do this with his images not too long ago and it looked pretty sweet so thought i would give it a go!
Wasnt able to fit all of my images in there so i had to choose a few of my favorites. Except that bloody blue horse head, i like it less every time i see it but the top right looked empty. Would love to re shoot it now that i have guiding to do it justice!
1.991 – 2.003

This familiar denizen of Florida's roadsides, pastures, and
prairies is a relatively new addition to American bird life
and is probably best known for its spectacular range
expansion. Cattle Egrets were unknown in the United
States until 1942. In North America, the bird now breeds
from New England west to southern Ontario and
Minnesota, then south through central Texas into Mexico.
It also summers regularly in Arizona, New Mexico, and
California.
Cattle Egrets usually nest in colonies with other wader
species, often outnumbering all others. Platforms of sticks
are built in trees and bushes usually on islands or over
water. Two to 5 blue-green eggs hatch in 21 to 24 days,
and the young fledge in 40 to 45 days. Nesting generally
occurs during late spring and summer, somewhat later
than the other waders in the same colonies.
I found this one on the nest at "Gatorland"
Orlando, Florida.

Going around town with the camera in the morning with the sun shining from the East can be so different from the afternoon. I have always loved the Caledonian Hotel but a shot of it in bright sunlight is only available until 11ish in summer months.

Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian is a five-star hotel which opened in 1903. It is an example of a British grand railway hotel, formerly called The Caledonian Hotel, and nicknamed 'The Caley'.
It was constructed from 1899 to 1903 and was part of the Caledonian Railway's Edinburgh Princes Street station. It was a rival to the North British Railway's North British Hotel which opened at the other end of Princes Street in 1902. The hotel was built on top of the stone built, V-shaped station building which had been built as a replacement for the previous wood-built station which was damaged in a fire in 1890. The architects of the hotel were John Peddie and George Washington Browne (Washington Browne also designed Edinburgh's Central Library in George IV Bridge).
In 1965, Princes Street Station was closed and it was demolished by 1970. This provided room for expansion for the hotel and the cast iron gates at the entrance to a car park in Rutland Street are the only remainder of the station outwith the hotel. The original station clock, pre-dating the fire of 1890, has been preserved inside the hotel.
