Dwarfed by massive infrastructure, a pair of Hunslet locomotives, nos. 71 and 75, head two torpedo wagons away from the Queen Victoria blast furnace at Scunthorpe Steel Works on 11th March 2017.

Each wagon contains 130 tonnes of molten steel and are on their way to the Concast plant. The intense heat radiating from these specially-designed containers could be felt as they passed a couple of hundred yards from us and it was safe to assume they were definititely "warm to the touch".

Seattle, WA

The weekend of February 2nd was a big weekend in Seattle. A new two mile tunnel that goes along the waterfront was to open to traffic on Monday. As a prelude the public was invited to walk the two miles to check out the tunnel. Thousands came to see what our taxes had paid for, and my wife and I joined them. Thousands of pictures and selfies were taken so I decided to put more of an artistic flare on my photos.

After walking the tunnel for two miles we exited at the south end. This is the view looking back toward the city, a different perspective of Seattle than one usually sees in pictures.
